Probably skinned it with metal or a better quality paint. The side that the sun hits most has cracked the paint. 🤔. Battery is located on the opposite side of the charge controller board.

That fan is loud, i have a usb fan i bought from home depot that is very quiet

It is...I too have a USB/battery fan that I’ve used for years in tents. I regularly sleep with a fan that is just as loud. So not much of an issue.
