My guy!!!! I have owned Renoise for a while now but never fully got around to learning. This series is amazing and well presented. The hot keys alone made a huge difference. Thanks man, my neighbors will certainly love the Amen break on repeat for 4 hours.

@@groovining No worries. Your hotkeys video was useful. Have you tried the Polyend Tracker? If so what do you think about it?
@groovining
@groovining 3 жыл бұрын
@@J-Hz Yea I actually got one on its 1st release. I like it - I think it's quite satisfying to use and it puts you in a bit of a creative box which can be very useful. However, I love Renoise. Sometimes I get a little frustrated working in the Polyend Tracker as Renoise does everything it does and more. Do you have one yourself?
@J-Hz
@J-Hz 3 жыл бұрын
@@groovining I'm thinking about it. Just got my yearly bonus so I'm a bit itching haha. But I have an mpc one I bought about 6 months ago and recently started using Renoise as well. I think I'll keep using Renoise for now and decide down the track if I want the Polyend.
@groovining
@groovining 3 жыл бұрын
@@J-Hz Haha yea I get that GAS as well. Sometimes I'm always reaching for the next item but I am actually a lot more productive when I stick to what I have a really learn my hardware/software. It's a cool little box no doubt but it's not a game-changer. Renoise is definitely more powerful and once you get the keyboard shortcuts down you can really fly around the programme.

@@grooviningall the shortkeys vidéos are so useful better than the Renoise KZbin page as they do not really give exemples like you and that’s the most important.. I try to find a solution to sync Renoise with Ableton live of you have tips for that thanks
@groovining
@groovining 2 ай бұрын
You can do it through Rewire I think :) www.reddit.com/r/renoise/comments/rv0y7s/help_using_renoise_with_ableton/

Wicked video, picked up a lot of tips, thanks for doing this! Worth noting that if you're on Windows, you can use the Akaizer Renoise tool straight inside Renoise - doesn't work on Mac now though unfortunately cause Macs don't support 32bit apps any more!

Glad you enjoyed it! ah interesting, yea it didn't work for me on Mac but good too know. It would definitely be handy to have in the programme!

brilliant keep it up!! Seriously helpful for me right now making oldschool jungle on renoise. Using an S1000 for the time stretching, but your idea about making a "timestretch instrument" is great. Would love to find out some specific tricks used on tracks back in the day. Off the top of my head, early RAM releases, dillinja pre 96, etc etc

Thanks bro! I've got lots of good stuff coming soon. I'm definitely going to brush over a few more old school techniques in this next one. Yea great idea! Once I get through these initial videos I'm definitely going to try and do some track recreations in Renoise ✌️

@@groovining hell yea that would be dreamy. Some real "light bulb" moments in this video. Especially the gating trick. Have definitely heard that before!

There is an Akaizer tool for Renoise which lets you time stretch the samples within Renoise, so you don't have to use the 3rd party program.

imo your Renoise tutorials are by far the best / most inspiring I've found online. Keep making great vibes and sharing with us. Will Renoise support all my third party plugins [soundtoys, arturia, ik multimedia, native instruments, uad etc]??? Thanks
@groovining
@groovining Жыл бұрын
Hey littlegeneva! Thanks mate, I love the program so am happy to share all I know. Yea Renoise works pretty good for me with 3rd party VSTs. I use lots of Soundtoys and Arturia. It does struggle with High CPU programs though. So things like Analog Lab can make it feel a bit clunky but apart from that its pretty solid. :)

even your two renoise lessons made it all clear. in contrast to the garbage that is littered with KZbin. Sorry for the English, I use google translator. Thank you from Belarus, I looked today, and immediately started to work out. please don't stop - these are the best Renoise tutorials.

how to get rid of this "glide / slide" effect when pitching up/down single notes? it really sucks and it doesn't sound oldschool. there are only two variations in the coammnd list. thanks for help!
@groovining
@groovining 21 күн бұрын
If you want to pitch properly. You just need to pitch up and down with the keyboard span not using tracker FX. If your slicing an instrument, you need to copy one chop to a new instrument to pitch it around
