Renosterkoppies Lion Pride and 4 Males seen in Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park has its spots were lions are often seen as they do visit the waterholes from time to time. Renosterkoppies is one of the Lion Hotspots we saw this pride of females and cubs and then the 4 male lions as well.

Hi everyone, this footage was taken in late December 2014 at the Renosterkoppies drinking hole on the S114 on Safari with Elephant Herd Tours and Safaris. This was the Renosterkoppies pride that we were lucky enough to film just before the horrible drought started taking it’s toll which carried through to early 2019. Three of the males ended up with mange because of the drought and eventually recovered nicely. Some of this pride were taken out by the Mpondo males who have now taken over the territory and the remainder of the Renosterkoppies pride females. The Manthimahle males have also been active in this area over the last couple of months. My name is Marten Lange and I took this footage while guiding for Elephant Herd Tours and Safaris. My Brother-in Law Bernard Bekker from PK Safaris produced and posted this video for all to enjoy.

Lionesses and cubs are so thin and males are well fed. I hope they get big prey soon for mom and cubs to have a chance to eat.

Zarzar Tinwin male lions will always feed before the rest of the pride. When male lions patrol their territory they make take prey from other animals. That could be the reason why they sometimes look better fed than the rest of the pride. Enjoy.

Marten Lange Safaris I know male lions feed before the rest of the pride even though pride may have taken down the prey, lionesses will always hve to let the male eat first, I know because I hve Seen many of their documentaries. In this video lionesses and cubs are thin and it could have been because of that reason..

Because male lions eat first before cubs and lionesses, there are 4 so not much food ll be left unless they hunt a elephant or giraffe
