Alice and Greg were introduced to James by a mutual friend involved in the early West Coast punk scene of the late 1970's. James went by the nom de punk of Jimmy Neurosis in the heady art/punk scenes of San Francisco and New York. James' memoir, Jimmy Neurosis (Harper Collins) was picked by the trash auteur John Waters as one of his favorite books of 2019 - high praise indeed!
