I got my first Renzetti vise back in the 70's. I had it redone about 5 years ago, I had you put on my AuSable crank. Man oh man do I ever love that vise. I use this vise for my show vise. needles to say everyone just love it.I keep my 2000 on the bench. My 4000 is a spare and the great grand kids like to tie Wolly Buggers for there casting rods they love them!.

After my Traveler vice got damaged on a flight from a tying show I decided to upgrade to the Master vice. Best vice I have ever used, because I am a fan of rotary tying. Also use a LAW vice at demonstrations but the master would be my first choice most of the times. In fact, am tying on one right now just stocking my Mayfly boxes with all the patterns needed for the Mayfly fishing on Irelands great Loughs.

Sorting out my next vice. I don't tie for speed. Most of what I tie is for research. Leaning towards Renzetti for the subtle rotation control, but a little unsettled on the adjustment convenience for hook size. ..... still thinking about this.

I emailed Renzetti about putting their saltwater jaws on a Presentation vise (4000 specifically) this weekend. I was told that I would need to buy a the SW Traveler Head. So in essence, I would need to buy a new vise but still use the Presentation base. Can't say that I am surprised but oh well it was worth a shot.

Why was the 3000 presentation with a knob used versus the lever of the 2000 and 4000?

The 2000 is nice because you can adjust the rotary height easier

Does Renzetti make saltwater jaws that can fit the Presentation 2000? I tie everything from midges to bunker patterns and I am looking for a vise capable of tying something as large as a 8/0 fly... I don't have the dough for a Master vise.

The Presentation 4000 is an awesome vice and will last you a lifetime. All the functionality of the Traveler with all the elegance and features of the Master Series

You can not add a Saltwater jaw to your Presentation 2000-3000 or 4000. The Pres 200 and 4000 holds hooks up to 4/0. If you need to tie anything bigger than that, buy a Saltwater Vise Head SC2300 and a stainless steel stem for a Traveler.

I have Presentation 2000 for 3 years. All black parts became to be white on the top due to the lamp light. and the 'lips' have sign off wear like indian one.... It is a good, but too expensive..

If you're watching this video and considering a true rotary vise, don't get laser-focused on needing this feature. Yes, it is nice, but most people do not use the functionality to lay on the material. Most people use it to inspect the different sides of the fly by rotating it, but that is what you can do with all other vises too. It's like shoe laces; Sure, there are nice ones out there, but what does it matter if you're not doing anything special with them??

from aluminium construction to stainless still cost differs a lot. I don't know. Cost of these 2 metals does not much differences. Only labor cost made US products expensive. why not make all stainless still. It just to make money with giving different kinds of tricks. Why not one with multiple tricks at a reasonable price

The stainless does near nothing in adding function /durability to the vise. Speaking as an engineer and a tier who has had vices in both materials, Aluminum is just fine for this use. If you really want stainless get the 4000. If you want versatility, get the 2000, if your on a budge, get the Traveler. All are great and very similar.
