Best vise and best advice. Love this guy. Found him through huge fisherman, another favorite. Thanks for bringing fun to fishing. The one thing I hate about fishing is info with too many people that act like we r watching a serious junior golf tournament and quiet and slow and serious will catch more fish

Great presentation. Congrats on reaching 6K subscribers! You have the most informative videos out there, concise and extremely detailed. Most videos assume you know something about the sport. Hope you will do a series on the very very basics of how to start fly tying, materials, knots, loops, etc.. I am sure there are many many folks who would learn a lot from you.

Excellent vise, surprised it isn’t more well known. Recently got a master vise and it was well worth it. Review soon.

Great review! I bought the P-2300 (black version) back in Nov so have been tying on it for about 8 months and absolutely love it! I was a Regal guy for over 30 years before getting the Presentation and now I use the Presentation at least 75% of the time. I still like the Regal Medallion for tying certain patterns where I don't need rotary.
@AboutTrout5 ай бұрын
Congratulations on the purchase! It is truly an awesome vise. At the time of this video I don’t think they had a black version yet or I would have gotten it. It’s crazy it’s not more popular. Really comfortable to tie on.
@brianthomas24485 ай бұрын
@@AboutTrout Thanks! Definitely the most comfortable vise I've ever tyed on. One thing to note about the P2000 is that it is the only vise in the renzetti line-up which you can't get a crank handle for. They're available for the Traveler series, the P3300/4000, and the Master, but not this one. I emailed renzetti about this earlier this year and they did say that a crank handle for the P2000 is in the works. So hopefully they'll come out with one soon. I'll definitely buy it.

Bought one of these a couple months ago and damn... don’t know why I put up with my Peak for as long as I did. The peak has solid build quality but the design of the Renzetti is vastly superior, especially for size 24 and 26 midges (even with the Peak’s midge jaws). Thanks for the no BS review that helped encourage my switch

Elite comment . Thanks for checking out the review and I’m so happy you love the vise! A 2003 Toyota Camry can get you from point a to point b but I’d rather pull up in the Ferrari.

Any video from u or huge that tell us which flies to start tying to master that will also catch fish. I feel overwhelmed everytime I start to try. It seems nice to hear like four flies or so to tie over and over again and have in my box to get good at and hopefully be able To try one of the four anytime if the s year. Something like that. Thanks!!!

Hello I just bought a presentation 2000 I however tie lefty . Could you please explain somehow which direction the ratcheting function should go and which direction the rotary function should rotate. I think my question is when you use the rotary function it should wind your thread onto the hook not off? Thank you
@AboutTrout2 жыл бұрын
It’s in your owners manual. I screw and flip the ratchet. Renzetti also offers right and left hand models.

@AboutTrout4 жыл бұрын
No problem . Heavier sturdier base , taller , sturdier stem (more comfortable ), ratchet feature, two indexing points. By the time you bought a new base and stem for the traveler , you could have gotten the presentation 2k. The adjustable arm is really nice when tying big streamers .

Very much appreciated and thanks for sharing! Personally, I own two of them, one at home and one at work. I absolutely love them and have been tying on my 1st one for years. To me, it’s the best on the market for the price and a worthy investment! If in doubt, just compare it to the cost of your favorite fly rod and the value of it. Shouldn’t your vice be as important as that?!?

Absolutely. The 2k seems to get no love but it’s packed with features and a lot of vise for the money. Thanks for checking out the channel.

@@AboutTrout All three of my rods and reels and the line cost the same as a lower end one (one rod was free, and it would make them the price of a high end one) it's also because I'm what one would refer to as a low budget fly fisherman/tyer.

Have you ever tied on this vise ? Because I have tied on a peak. What did you like more about peak?
@russelllieser42263 жыл бұрын
Only vice i use. The base the jaws. The. Rotary function. I have never had or heard of a jaw going bad. But I have several friends with renzetti.tgat have all replaced jaws after a bout a year of tying.
@AboutTrout3 жыл бұрын
Having tied on both I personally prefer the renzetti. It’s easier to adjust the jaws for various hook sizes , the ability to index the arm for true rotary in all sizes and the larger heavier base on this model are all pluses for me. The jaws are also finer which is nice for smaller hooks. No vise will make you a better tier but a more comfortable vise is definitely more fun to tie in. I have tied a few thousand flies on this vise and have not yet had an issue . Best
@russelllieser42263 жыл бұрын
You tie 32 you go smaller? Crazy. Renzetti look cheap and is very tiny for the money. But has a name.
@loosieclocker3 жыл бұрын
For the money James, Peak wins. I find its adjustment lacking finesse but it's rock solid, has a great base that won't tip, and is designed right up the road in Loveland.
