I've been a fan of REO Speedwagon since 1978, when my dad sent me to the US to learn English... They are my favorite rock band ever since... And I've been lucky enough to have seen them live in concert several times in the USA and Venezuela... they are the best ever... Keep on rocking!!!

The Kevster can still belt out a good sound and put on a great concert. I saw them about 4 years ago in San Jose, CA... REO is aging like a fine bottle of Napa Valley Cabernet! Rock on Kev!!

I grew up in Chicago listening to REO, and all the Rock & Blues bands. Dave Amato is a great lead guitarist. I wish I was that good. My wife said I'm a good musician, but the greatest husband. I';m happy and blessed with that. The whole band plays great. And remember to roll with the changes with Jesus the Lord Almighty.

my neighbor from Belleville,Illinois retired from REO..Mr. Neal Doughty 01/06/23 taught me how to play the piano! He was the last original band member! We lived on Cambridge Drive. Rock N'Roll Forever..

This is Very Good! As a devoted R.E.O. Fan, I have seen them perform 6 times, and now in 2023 they still sound great. KC's voice has slipped a little, but for 71, he's dead on key. This is a band I will always enjoy! Keep Pushin Guys!!

Saw them twice in ABQ but they have a solid place in my memories as a teen coming of age . I feel so bad for youth today, who have plain shit , lame shit, and downright empty ugly shit pumped into their minds as "popular".. there's some rock and metal around that's god, Volbeat for one , TFK, Good..but this kind of stuff was our mainstream

Say them at the Country club in Reseda in the 80s as a warm up before they went on a world tour.The first act was a guy who slung paint on a linewand and you cound not make out what it was until he was done and turned it upside down,it was Jimi Hendriks.Something I will remember the rest of my life.

The guitar is a lil low in the mix. That’s a shame. Really don’t think that would be the case if Gary Ritchrath was on stage. I sure miss his energy and his remarkable soloing. He was magical on his own. Add everyone else and R. E. O. SPEEDWAGON was a monster in the 70s. Specially live, great shows back then and great times as well. Cheers thanks for sharing.

No. The singer and bass player are the only 2 from their most successful years 1976 on. The keyboard man Neal Doughty retired at the end of 2022 and their guitarist and drummer have been with them since 1989.

none are originals... but Kevin has been with the band the longest now 1972, 1976 to current. Bruce Hall 1978-current. IMHO they haven't played real REO music since Gary Richrath was outed from the band. I saw them in 8 times from 1981-1997. Havent seen them live since. And from what I hear on KZbin is pretty stagnent.

Being a musician, I’m programmed to hear all the differences. The keyboard player doesn’t have the same feel as Neal Doughty and KC’s voice is slipping a little bit with age, it’s like fine wine. You know it’s old and with his high cost lifestyle of the 70 and 80’s, it’s worth every penny

They keyboardist has inproved since the beginning of the year. I still think they sound good live. Haven’t seen them with Derek on keys, but KC actually changed his style during covid and his voice is deeper and sounds better now. He was starting to sound like he was on helium when he sang.

When Gary was unceremoniously booted from the band I lost complete interest in this band. If it wasn't for Hary this band would not ever have been a multiplatinum arena playing band.

Love the support for Kevin, but his voice has been awful for nearly two decades now. As long as REO needs a payday and people will still trek to a Casino or State Fair to see them, well, ya get what ya pay for...

Well, he may not sound like he did in the 80s, his voice is still good. I’ve seen them live a couple times and it always sounds better in person then you’re going to get through a cell phone recording. Now if you’re going and expecting to hear the album played straight from the set obviously he’s going to sound different. He’s been working on his voice the last couple years and sounds better than he has in years.
