I was in Subic Bay in 1989 in the Marine Corps. Coups attempt to overthrow Akino. We were there 2 and a half months and this song was popular among many there. A rocker named Eddie from the PI used to sing Ozzie and Lita's song if I close my eyes forever. We all loved Olongapo City.

Followed REO from the beginning when Terry Lutrell was on vocals. REO 1 is a fantastic, pretty much obscure album.They often played in Davenport, Iowa where I was. REO II with Kevin was the best in my opinion. Full of gems. After rejoining years later they released some great songs. Roll with the Changes, Time for Me to Fly, etc. Good on ya Kevin! Brilliant career. RIP Gary Richrath.

Totally for sure! I was in high school in the 70,s (75-79) Orland Park, Illinois 😅, Kevin is from Oak Lawn Illinois a few towns over. He’s always rocked ! Great vocalist ! I'm 63, and got hooked on REO Speedwagon in my mid 20s. I used to cruise around in my '74 Corvette and listen to REO Speedwagon on the 8 track for hours at the time. I got married, had 2 wonderful daughters, then got divorced, now have a 17 month old grandson. Still listen to REO Speedwagon. Your music truly is timeless, and no matter how bad I feel, it always makes me feel better.

REO Speedwagon has always been one of my favorites. I've been to numerous concerts. I used to have a friend who delivered produce to one of the businesses where the owner knew you personally. He had gotten me an autographed photo signed by you. Sadly I have since lost the photo and my friend passed in 2001. :( But I think of him whenever I hear one of your songs.
