Great info again! This video shows the importance of having a wired setup. Wireless can be more convenient, but would miss so many little things like small animals. I have seen cats and squirrels playing late at night as well as an old man walking slowly in the middle of the road at 3am. The old man looked really spooky and it was on Halloween! Can't wait to get mine installed. Last cameras I had were Amcrest and I caught quite a few interesting things such as random tire marks in the yard, the dog going through the window screen (twice) and unfortunately an accident which I was able to help the police with the footage. @@mikelisteral7863 @mike listeral These cameras are hooked up to an nvr which records 24/7 as long as the nvr is powered on. To view the footage you'll need a monitor hooked up to it, or you can use the pc client or the smart phone app. It can be installed upside down and the image flipped via the settings, only 180 though.

Have the EZVIZ CX3, sdcards and all turned on 24/7. I'm not so impressed with the app. Zoom freezes in playback often and i have to restart the play. But, the cameras are recording well! Thanks for all your vids. They are def helpful.

hey mate good job re-wiring your camera just wanted to say 568-B is the US standard 568-A is the Australian Standard also if you run 25mm or 1inch sold conduit with the cable in it to each camera I know it's a lot at first set up but it will mean no snagging when up grading and it will also stop any pests that might get in the roof eg rats possums mice birds and so on from eating into the cable also will stop uv light over many years from wrecking the cable anyway thanks for the video and have a good one.

I have lorex 8 cameras around my house from Costco recording to an nvr with 10 tb hd. I can record 8 cams at 1080 30 fps for 35 days before it writes over. Love this set up although it was a pain to wire!

The hawk is likely a Cooper’s hawk, or a Sharp-shinned hawk. The are very similar, differing only in size.

I agree getting camera setup in front, back and side of your house for good reason.. Two weeks ago our mailbox was knocked down.. The first time it happen I didn't have any cameras. Second time it happened again I installed cameras.. Notice on the footage it was a group of kids going around knocking down mailboxes.. Turn that video in to the police and they found the group of kids.. Another time our cameras caught a deer on our front lawn dead. We had to call the DNR and report it. Looked back on the camera and notice a pack of wolves attached the deer. As for that bird, that could be a red tail hawk.. They are known for eating prays like smaller animals.. So that might be what that hawk is

I love my NVR system, but Zmodo in not innovating they do not even have as much as a 2K cameras for their NVR just HD, so sometime in the future I will replace it with a Reolink and leave my sister with the Zmodo NVR. And thanks for the sharing the link for Klein Wire Crimper tool. Up to this week I was looking for one that will appeal to my liking, but this not see any I like, but the one you show I like it, and that it has the color code diagram on it so year I be ordering one soon.. Thanks.

This is why I added some Wyze Cam 3 cameras to my Eufy cameras to be able to record 24/7. Also, you'd think the driver of the car in the video would slam on his or her brakes after the impact, but he/she keeps going at the same speed!

Been looking for a non-PoE 2K or ideally 4K wired wifi camera for this reason. I currently have 2 Wyze cams and a EZVIZ CX3 that record 24/7 pointed out the window as I live in a rental so I can't just go wiring the house. The CX3 line crossing detection works good but notifications aren't instant and tho clear it's only 1080p.

Eufy indoor cam is 2K... you can also set it to record 24/7. Just do the camera through glass setup.

@@LifeHackster I had 2 Eufys, video was great but they kept having to be reset every 1-2 days in order to detect any motion and with 24/7 recording also defaulting to 1080p when there was no motion it just wasn't doing better than my Wyze cams :/ EZVIZ has a 2K indoor cam, the c6w but it "seems" to lack line crossing detection that works as my fail safe for the AI. I may get it next week and check then update later.

Yes, it will. The downside with WIFI cameras would be the resolution...it will not be as detailed and crisp compared to a PoE NVR camera.

i had a similar need to check my cameras the other day. I have an old pair of shoes i wear for doing garden work in. One evening i left the pair outside and forgot to bring them in. The following morning i noticed one shoe had disappeared. On checking my camera i saw in the early hours a fox decided to steal my shoe! He must have gone nose blind :)

My car, been hit twice and the 2nd time the individual has got away. I would like a camera that will capture license plates at night and that record 24/7. NVR system like the Reolink should work. As to license plates..it will be a hit or miss unless you invest in an LPR system but you can dedicate one channel in the NVR and add a 5MP zoom reolink RLC 511 and zoom it in to the area you think you will have the best chance of getting the car to stop or slow down to get the license plate.

That's what I've been telling to all the wifi motion cameras fans, you will spend less time installing yours and have that beer while I'm still at the attic pulling cables. But there will be a day that your anger will reach its top when you only see persons rear end or not see that person qt all. I'm using Lorex 4K cameras with local recording 6TB that allows me to keep footage up to 3 weeks with max resolution setup.

Arlo foresight (records 3 seconds before motion) and continuous video recording for a fee. Both available when plugged into power, which was fine for me I just ran a cable over the roof to an outdoor power point, lol.

When its armed why does it not let you look at a live view only a few seconds afterwards? Is it because it's being monitored? I'm confused about that 😕. Great video love your set up

This is great!!! I was looking for 24/7 cameras. It seems you don't even need an outlet, the cat6 gives enough power to the camera, right? This is a good setup, do you still use a doorbel? Do reolink have doorbells? Also, is this the RLN8-410 hub? If so, it says supports up to 12MP, is this the same as 4k? Also, how do you connect your setup to your monitors?

POE supplies the power from your switch if your switch is a POE type. Your camera of course needs to be a POE (power over ethernet) model also.

I like these reolink cameras. Too bad that the lowest operating temperature is 14 degrees. Not ideal for Michigan weather as we have quite a few days we're the departure drops below this threshold.

I find reolink does not play well with vpn. I get connection failed when using vpn.. I turn vpn off and reolink connects. This only happens with reolink and not blink.

Not the bird footage...even it was in the motion zone, it will depend on the sensitivity and whenever the bird pauses, the camera thinks the motion stopped and will stop recording. My other camera set just to record while there is motion didn’t capture the event.

6:24 seriously a kid barely even stomping on the light that hard destroyed it seems like some staged incident to me.

I wish it was staged...also she didn’t stomp on it...she was fixing her skirt because it was blowing in the wind and her bike veered to the left hitting the light.
