I know I have commented on this before but I finally sat down with a fine paint marker and relabeled everything. I love this deck so much but a lot of it didn’t work until now. Thank you thank you thank you for your time and care and awesome understanding of symbols and meanings. ❤❤❤ . Grateful to put this deck in regular circulation. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Wow! Talk about synchronicity! I was rummaging through my decks last night and pulled this out and went card by card next to my Soul Trees Ascension oracle deck! I really love this deck too and would never get rid of it after this reorganization. I'm so happy it works for you as well. Thank you!! ❤️

I agree wholeheartedly with your renaming of some of the cards. I chose this beautifully rendered deck because the 'tree spirits' actually remind me of otherwordly Aliens.

Oh, my! I just discovered this deck, and had some ambivalence. You have transformed the deck for me, thank you! I'm going to purchase it now, and make those modifications, they make so much sense. This deck feels like will be good for shadow work.

@@sheenabromstein5574 They’ve held up quite well! I’m not a particularly aggressive shuffler though. I don’t jam cards into other cards so I wouldn’t advise doing that. The cardstock of this deck is kind of thick so I overhand mostly. It’s a good, manageable size so that makes it easy. The sticker labels aren’t the most delicate or graceful approach, but it was necessary due to the placement of the original labels. One could try and overwrite with sharpie, but I wouldn’t have liked my own handwriting for that. Let me know how you end up doing it! ❤️

Why was this deck not on my radar? It is so beautiful! I love the 8 of Pentacles with the cello! The eyes don’t bother me at all. I love how you changed it to make it work for you. On to the wishlist it goes!

This is brilliant! It must have taken you a long time to put this new order together. It makes complete sense to me how you reordered it. My wish would be that the deck creator would see this video and really see how it should have been and redo the deck. I would buy it immediately. I love the images in this deck, very soft and loving. I am tempted to buy and do what you did with the labels. I really enjoyed seeing this as my introduction to your channel. I am subscribed now and will wait for new content as time goes on. I have the same issues with this lovely deck and was sad I couldn’t get on with it. I am very impressed with how well you’ve reassigned the cards to more fitting roles. I was thinking of trying to use mine as an oracle.

What an interesting video to watch. I'm glad you were able to personalize this beautiful deck to align more closely with your interpretations. I generally see more of a correspondence in the deck probably because I interpret all RWS and Tarot de Marseilles decks with TdM meanings. BTW I also noticed a slight coloring difference between the two decks, as you pointed out.

I interpret Eight of Cups to mean involvement with family and friends (whether helpful or meddlesome lol). The figure on this card appears to be very rooted which fits into my interpretation of the card. It really is such a beautiful deck. Almost wistful in a way.

I think this deck is amazing, but I really understand the changes that you made, some of them really make more sense to me, especially the High Priestess, Empress, Chariot , Ace of Wands, Ace of Cups and Five of Cups... I mean, your selections are so on point!! Excellent job, if there is another edition of this deck, they should go with your picks!!

Thank you so much! I did happen to contact the publisher with my idea to shuffle around the images, but they said that changes would be up to the artist which I understand. I wouldn't want to offend anyone, but if anyone wants to reach out to them too I'm all about purchasing a 2nd edition as well!!!❤️

@@nadia_margaret_3458 Hi Nadia. I have seen many people in the tarot community restructure decks by trimming and labeling them in ways that make sense to them. I have seen this done on other tarot channels as a way to make the deck work for them. It is in no way meant as a slight to the original creator. If I were defacing the images then I could see that as being disrespectful, but this was not that. Modding decks AT ALL could be seen as changing the original work away from what the creator intended, but it is something that many people do and enjoy so that they can continue to find a way to work with the deck instead of feeling compelled to rehome it. I really enjoy this deck now and stand by my decision to mod it and share that with the community. I’m sorry if this offends you. I hope that you can see that this was a wonderful exercise in thinking outside the box and loving on this beautiful deck by personalizing it for me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and be well. ❤️

@@nadia_margaret_3458 I also wanted to add that my intention was in no way meant to offend the creator. I asked the publisher at the time because I didn’t know how it worked. I thought it was up to the publisher. Since they told me it was up to the creator, it makes total sense and I would not ask any creator to change their vision. I, myself, am creating a deck and for many months I have opened up to the community and have exposed myself to suggestions as well as criticism in an effort to help improve my deck and gauge the needs and opinions of others. So, I feel that it’s ok to express an opinion on how a deck could improve. That’s all I was trying to do for myself and for this particular deck. It is a healing deck that makes more sense to me and to others who may have found it difficult to read with this deck. Again, thank you for giving me something to think about so I can ensure my intention is always clear and that positive vibes are always the goal. ❤️

Love this!! Your changes were spot on, and I appreciated you taking the time to detail why you did a better job matching the images with the card designations. This deck example highlights the problem with using existing art to retrofit to the Tarot. Dawn Michele (B0HO TAROT) did something similar with the Ciccoli Tarot, and that's a fantastic one to watch if you haven't seen it. I enjoy your channel very much because you always explain yourself so well and what you say makes good sense! Great job!

Wow what you did makes SO much more sense. I had trouble looking at the cards and reading the book when what it was showing wasn't matching up in my head with what I knew...So do you still use the book then since it could be describing a different card due to your alterations? That could be confusing! LOL

Hi Vera! No I no longer use the guidebook. Although I thought it was beautifully written, even the descriptions didn’t match up with what I knew so I put it away after reading through once. Now, all the cards make sense to me and are more coherent. I wish there could be relabeled by the printer. But, it works as I have it now. Be well!
