I don’t think commenting on looks belittles really any of those things, by that logic making an observation of any physical appearance belittles anyone regardless of words and gender. One could agree with what she says while also commenting on a physical attribute. And observing physical attributes is human nature and everyone does it, even if they don’t voice their opinion.

If you look at detailed accounts of everyday life in Germany during the rise of the 3rd Reich, you will see increased rhetoric along those lines. You know--Phrases like: "Ha ha, look at that face! It would stop a clock!" Or: "God help us I can't look at him! He looks like he's been beaten with an ugly stick!" Trying to keep the less than "perfect" people from breeding through public humiliation. When I hear people making public comments like that in the modern era, I get concerned important lessons are being forgotten. Who wants to see Eugenics make a comeback? Trump freaked me out in the 2016 Presidential Primary when he asked the crowd, mockingly(while speaking of fellow Republican Carly Fiorina) this question: "Who wants to look at that face for the next four years? Does anyone want to? I don't think so!" That might not be an exact quote, but it is the spirit of what he was trying to convey. Educated people pick up on that kind of Crapola. We have learned to look for that kind of stuff as warning ⚠️ signs, because the so-called "Greatest Generation" wanted to make sure we all don't leave any obvious entry points for the grave mistakes of the recent past to repeat themselves on our watch. Letting that stuff ride lets hatred get a foot in the door.

@@Voetistasneua I don’t think it’s that deep, although I can say that commenting on looks is pretty shallow and is cheap. I’m in no way a republican, but also don’t think that someone’s party affiliation really has anything to do with it. I would argue blaming problems on a certain group of people to garner hate and conflict which we saw during the Nazi era is more of a warning sign than attempting to lower one’s social standing via commenting on appearance. You see a lot of this political tribalism and both parties blame all problems on the other which I think is honesty lazy politics and irresponsible because across the board no one seems to want to take any sort of accountability. It requires no instruction to see the similarities of the past and how societies have lead to their own destruction.

I stand by our women of color in Government. I hope there will be more. They are vastly under represented in Government. Yet they are a sizeable minority in the US population. Taking together the Latina and Africana American women, they have been so maligned and brutalized over the past few centuries of this countries existence. I support her. I would take up arms to defend her. Otherwise, what have we got? A White Man only country?

If we look bad it's something you didnt do rite. Probably knock on the door. The road needs you to do more than comment on it. It needs your interest in its upkeep.
