Ask yourself why have we not become energy self sustaining yet? Go look up the real answer. Not all oil is the same. It would cost billions possibly trillions and take decades to convert our refineries to what we domestically extract [sweet light crude] vs what everything is setup for since the 50's [heavy sour imported oil form abroad]. That is the major reason we have not "drill baby drilled"

@ nope, a significat portion our oil for domestic use is imported. 50% from Canada alone. We currently use more than we could produce; then comes the problem of refinement again costing billions and decades convert refineries which they won’t do as it would cause massive corporate losses. And shareholders would never vote for that.

Avg gas prices have come down to as low as $2.59 now under Biden. Russia's war has no effect on gas prices because we dont buy from russia.
