I had something happen today that brought tears to my eyes I was grocery shopping and we still have fresh corn here so I was shucking corn and a lady (with an accent…I’m close to high tech companies and we have a kaleidoscope of people from all over the world) starts to talk to me about the corn and ideas for produce etc. and she then says “You’re so nice, I was afraid to talk to you” I asked her why and she says “Because I’m an immigrant”…my heart dropped and holding back tears, I gave her a huge hug right there next to the corn bin and we both cried. I’m not sure what the other people in that produce dept thought, but I reminded her that she is Loved and cared for and there are good ppl in the world…even though I don’t always believe that myself. We said our goodbyes, wishing well to one another….I am forever changed. 💔💔💔 All of this division, hate and threats of violence is so completely unnecessary. I am writing this as I well up yet again w tears. I feel so scared and helpless myself, but hopefully our little interaction maybe helped her even a little. Let’s not forget our humanity through all of the nonsense that is going on around us. I hope you know, you too are Loved by me. 🩵💙🩵💙
