@@jakegoldberg6700 That’s interesting because what you describe, “a radicalized United States that stands for division,” is how I would describe today’s Republican Party. I support Ilhan because she supports women’s reproductive rights and is staunchly pro-choice, she champions progressive causes like protecting and expanding voting rights, protecting the environment, advocating for universal healthcare, and she bravely speaks out in defense of human rights for marginalized communities, like Palestinian’s and LGBTQ+. I also feel it’s important Congress looks like America especially in the face of unfair, often racist, targeting by conservatives. As a Muslim immigrant woman of color, Ilhan represents increased diversity in Congress and I think that’s a good thing. Thanks for asking.
