That is truly stunning! You really went above and beyond and the end result is so beautiful. I think the only part that I'd tweak is somehow making the corset look tighter. Your work on this doll is really impressive though, I'm really new to the hobby and just started and this really got me inspired to make dolls with stories built into their designs!

Happy Belated Birthday..This is equally as beautiful as the doll you received and you should be really proud of yourself..can I suggest for a quicker and easier way to curl the hair..some of the others I watch use a steel chopstick ..you can find them on eBay cheaply ..they wrap the hair around it then use hair straighteners on it..some just heat the stick and use it on its own..gives lovely ringlets or loose curls ..hope this helps ..it’s quicker than the straw method . And the chopstick being thin is perfect doll size ..love how this one turned out she looks every bit mystic 😀

Beautiful work...the only thing I wish was different is the corset needed to be tighter and fitted better..her waste had no shape...everything else was awesome ❤️

For the corset I think the biggest "issue" in terms of it not being tight enough is because it was perfectly fitted to her and then using the thick ribbon and putting the rivets on which added bulk so it couldn't be laced as tight. I haven't made a corset for such a small doll - only bigger ones- but I would suggest using a super thin ribbon actually use a thicker needle to pull through. I don't know that I would depend on the ribbon itself to tighten the back of the corset but maybe actually use thread. Not sure I can explain what I am thinking very well. So I will try to do a step by step. 1) Take embroidery thread or if using regular thread double up in a color matching the corset and sew up the back. Sew it like a real corset would be laceD BEFORE pulled tight. 2) Sew on the ribbon or use a fancy embrodery thread. I would probably do this in segments and not like all connected like lacing a corset. 3) when threading the ribbon in put small metal/metallic spacer beads that are relatively flat on the outside side. 4) each section on ribbon + the tightening threads ends should be coming out the bottom of the corset and be coming from the inside/underside. Except the last segment of the ribbon if you want to do a tie on the outside. 4) Pull the thread that matches the corset mostly tight and do the same with the ribbons, keep going until the tightening thread is completely tight and the ribbin looks how you want it to. 5) Knot off the tightening thread, cut and tuck back into the edge of the corset or glue it where the bow will be tied. 6) glue down the spacer beads and make sure to get glue on the ribbons they are threaded on. 7) Minus the ribbon for the bow cut the ribbons as close to the edge of the corset- if you want to put a small amount of glue on the edges to help secure and stop from potentially fraying. 8) tie the bow and trim tails as you like- if deemed necessary seal the ends with glue or heat (aka fire! -- or a hot tool) I hope this makes sense. Your doll really did turn out amazing though!!

Happy birthday!! 😍😍 I don’t need acrylic paint for the highlights and white of the eye, I found a tip to use a Generals white chalk pastel pencil and it’s incredible, I didn’t know a Matte medium could be used as a sealant, thought it was just for mixing with paint or water to extend the paint or just to coat in matte 🤷‍♀️ who knew! She’s is utterly fabulous 🔥🔥🔥 beautiful work! Again! ♥️

Amazing Doll! You should be a bit more careful when you spray your dolls with MrSuperClear, it is not good for your health if you do it indoors. Please use MSC only outdoors! I‘m concerned about your health! 😥

Heya im a newbie here! Amazing work! Can i ask what eraser do you use for face makeup. Do you wet the pastels or work dry? Thank you i am so inspired !

I use just a normal eraser, but sometimes I use my kneaded eraser. Pastels shoud always be dry. I use water and a brush sometimes with my watercolor pencils 👍
