Thanks! I have considered trying out a BJD but they are so expensive. I have a few other style of dolls (Wild Hearts Crew, Disney Store, Descendants) but I have been waiting on the right project to use them. Barbie feels daunting because of how small her eyes are, I think I will eventually give it a try.

For suggestions for future dolls, I really love anthromorphic characters so I'd love to see some animals!!! An anime inspired cat girl would be cute and I think a lot of people would really like that. Personally I love canines so any kind of dog or wolf or fox or anything would be awesome. Maybe a cute but kinda scary werewolf for Halloween? Also I'd love to see anything with alternative styles like goth, emo, punk, scene, bondage gear inspired, egirl/eboy, whatever! I would especially like to see a "mall rat" 2000s scene queen kind of look on a doll because of all the intricate and weird details that real "scene kids" like to put in their clothing and accessories. Raccoon tail hair extensions, studded belts, band tees, knee high converse, teased hair, facial piercings galore, layer skirts, anything like that would be so cool to see on a doll!

You might try running your thread through some bees wax. That will make it so your thread won't knot up or tangle. Plus, it might make it easier to pull it through the vinyl.

This is a really neat doll, but my question about re-rooting. What's the point in looping the hair when it becomes un-looped in the head, and you glue it anyway?

For me it started as a way to control the amount I was using in a plug. If its too much it causes strain on the holes and can cause the vinyl in the head to rip open (this actually happened my very first time rerooting with nylon hair). Now its just habit.

Thanks for watching. I have an Anycubic Photon Mono X and a Elegoo Mars. For this one I used an Anycubic Photon Mono X, however I HATE using it. It has a larger learning curve and I have more fails in general on it. I find that files that print fine on my Mars will fail on the Anycubic. The Anycubic seems to be more temperamental with how supports are laid out and their settings.

No, the pencils and pastels are sealed in with 3 layers of Mr. Super Clear after I finish the faceup. Glossing just makes the areas shiny and is done after the faceup is sealed, my personal preference is just no gloss.
