I actually think her hands disappearing is kind of a cool element. You have to look for them and it gives a trickster vibe when you can’t immediately see what she’s doing. Like she could be holding a perfectly normal conversation but at the same time shes also stealing your watch and replacing it with an acorn on a string. I love these unintentional “flaws” that end up adding so much depth to the character and often work out better than if they had been planned.

I really like the gradient on her arms. Yeah, it sucks that it gets lost in the rest of her outfit, but it adds this feeling that Maple herself is slowly changing colors as the seasons change. Honestly, I like it. Gives off more of a classic trickster fae vibe, which fits the character more. Fairies in mythology are more than just a set of wings, yaknow? There are so many different directions you can go with them (and honestly, wings are even necessary), so the tail is a fun addition that lets her lean away from Tinkerbell-esque and closer to Evil Fae Who Will Trick You Into Giving Your Life Away

Honestly, the fact that the heads visually disappear adds a sense of mystery and elusiveness to the character. From a writing standpoint, I'd make her a trickster spirit of sorts, a more traditional fae if you will, it also gives a sense of transformation and ghoulishness to her which fits the theme of Halloween well. In the end, she's a beautiful doll, and the slight visual imperfection gives her a sense of a story.

I love that all the fairy dolls have different expressions. Iggy is shy, as spring can sometimes be slow to come after a long winter. Amanita is bright and cheerful, ready for adventure and excitement. Maple is sly and tricky, ready for the mischief of Halloween and ready to switch up the weather without warning. And Eryi is stern and slightly harsh looking, but with a slight brightness like sunlight glinting off the snow.
