"Everything Clara could see was made of sugar. There were trees laden with sweets, and a gleaming palace built out of jelly beans with a shiny white roof made of sugar icing. A sugar plum fairy arrived to greet them."
Here is a look at the process of making the Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker Ballet. I create the persona of the actual fairy that the ballet dancer portrays in her dance.I show creating her outfit, making her wings and headdress.

@@LadyDynamiteCreates i totally understand. nowadays i try to remember how proud and happy i was of my work when i made it, and that makes me feel appreciation for that piece i made. although now i have different skills i keep in mind that that piece was a stepping stone to get to where i am now. and then it doesnt feel as cringey to look at my old work 😁

Thank you so much. I find that I use less these days than when I first started making dolls a couple of years ago. I try to do as much on a layer as I can but it comes back to bite me sometimes and I have ruined perfectly good work before 😩

@@LadyDynamiteCreates yes, i can't actually get the colours to built up that quickly on the first layers even though i use the "good stuff" but it is a lot due to me still be very unsure about my faceups..so i prefer to take my time , maybe in a few years of practice i'll lower the layers count like you 😉

That was the reason I was drawn to this hair! It reminded me of cotton candy so I picked this first and then chose the doll base and fabrics around the hair 😊 Staying home wound up being for the best because I found out today 3 members of my family in Alabama caught Covid and would have been contagious at our scheduled holiday gathering! Silver linings because it makes me feel better about disappointing them.

Thank you so much, she is a Monster High Kyomi doll. I find all of my dolls second hand at yarn sales, swap meets, thrift stores, facebook marketplace and ebay. Anytime I see some at a reasonable price I grab them.

It came from the Doll Planet Hair. It is amazing and well worth no longer having to weigh down dolls or try to tape stuff to my work station. The bottom is weighted so it helps keep it from tipping while you style.

I have only had my channel a year and a half as well and feel like I am fumbling in the dark. KZbin is very unclear about what makes them promote your channel but I know having a consistent upload schedule is big and uploading often. Its a hard thing to manage in the art field when things can take a very long time to make.
