Just wondering your 850 titan. The only reason you don't get crispy lines it's because of the tires they're not air tires they're plastic but if you change the tires on it and still have the machine balanced shouldn't be a problem just wondering by the way I just started this business first year hopefully everything goes well

If you slide you gun in closer to the machine and in line with the axis of the front tire everything will be way more rigid and you can move twice that fast. Being inline with the front tire makes your line width more consistent in width.

You kicked the gun out and lined the hood up straight. Better to see, I like that. Looked like a 3900 ? With probably fast set oil? Everything looked great, your starts, alinement on the old line. I’ve been striping for an airport for 10 years. And I’m wanting to get out and do parking lots. We only use latex at the airport so I’m unfamiliar with laying down oil. I’ve seen some new lines in my area that was put down with oil on new asphalt and they have this light over spray on both sides. Curious if that’s common with the new asphalt being so black, maybe not noticeable on older asphalt. I’m training my daughter to stripe so we can work together in this business. I’ve picked up a graco 3400 to get started with. So I have oil in the machine teaching her. I’m also getting just a little over spray with the oil. Using a 319 with just under 1500 psi. Any tips for painting on new asphalt. We haven’t done any jobs yet still getting some stuff together like a pressure washing set up and looking to be ready for next spring. Again it all looked good 👍🏻

Its a GREAT addition to a business, the painting buggy's aren't too expensive and there is certainly a need for pavement markings. Our striper snaps chalk lines to mark the end lines, and sometime to mark center line to stripe if its hard to see the existing lines! It's much more useful after we sealcoat and have difficulty seeing the lines, if its just a restripe we don't typically do doo much chalking.

Sorry, pal - you can take all the time in the world to line up them stripes, but if you don't freakin' clean the asphalt ahead of time, you'll have perfectly striped dirt, which is what we see here. You tell me at 2:28 - 2:31 of this video if there's no freshly painted dirt on that line.
@coastpave Жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting, Pal - in an ideal world we can clean the pavement using machines, apply sealcoat and then do a new paint job. In this instance they just wanted stripes as we would be sealcoating it and/or restriping it in the very near future - so we didn't use cleaning machines, we just used our blower and a wire push broom to clean the cline. There is no *loose dirt being painted in this video.
