Repair Attempt: Subwoofer That Died After a Firmware Update (LG SN7Y)

Here, I try to repair my buddy's LG SN7Y soundbar, which has a non-responsive subwoofer. This happened after he used the LG App to update the firmware.

Hello guys, please can you tell me what kind of value is the WR 644 resistor, located next to the chip, because although so carefully I tried to put the clamps on the chip a couple of times because it was failing to read it, but I managed by mistake to undo the resistor there and never found it again. It's extremely small. Thank you!!!

There are plenty of reasons. Modern subwoofers use extensive DSP control to alter, control and limit their behavior. In a system like this a firmware update might include changes to limiters, temperature monitoring, a new set of EQ-filters, improvements to wireless connectivity to the main unit, and so on and so forth.
