Almost the same thing happened to me, only the black cable was saved, I saw it from the inside and a thread of red cable came out of the red cable, I turned it so that the red cable was in its position and apparently the hearing aid was barely saved If I didn't see it until that moment, I would have lost my hearing aid.

What tools do you use to crack open the earbud? I have one that turns on, connects to the other one and the phone, even controls it, but one day it just stopped playing sounds. I assume is a loose cable in there because it works and charges, there's just no sound
