The reason you won't find Android parts in a backalley store is because the is no need for that, you can order replacement parts directly from the manufacturer. The entire reason this market exists for iPhones is that Apple refuses to sell their parts to shops and individuals that don't want to pay their apple certification fee.
@leonardomazza81705 жыл бұрын

And I'll post it later this week. But first, I want to see how good you are at guessing what it cost. Leave your guess on this post: kzbin.info/door/O8DQrSp5yEP937qNqTooOwcommunity?lb=UgyGG1Fq1ROMQUOW_P54AaABCQ (not as a comment on this video), and the closest guesses will get a shoutout in the video this coming weekend! Don't worry, I hear you guys. I'll put together a full list of the parts and prices. I did keep track this time, so I have a pretty complete and accurate list. I've been at the LTX conference all weekend though, and had zero time to sit down and tally it up. But I will, I promise! I also have a bit of a surprise in store - I had the phone I built looked at by some professionals. And it turns out, not everything was quite as it seemed... Video about that coming soon!

The Samsung parts are hard to tell the difference between, but that's what makes them so good normally. Samsung perfected the design for their parts to make it simple to assemble, so they don't make drastic changes for every new model. Apple, on the other hand, focuses on making their phones difficult to assemble, and more importantly difficult to take apart, so they change up the shapes of their parts every new model. That leads to more unique shapes for Apple, but a far simpler construction for Samsung, which I appreciate as someone who likes to fix my phone instead of throwing it away for every little problem that comes up.
