Yup an awesome intro for sure. great how-to video. go to love the anti-tip 'ankle biters.' here is a good laugh 4 ya dan. i got some new sweet pants and hadn't heemed the leg [missing from knee down] wasn't wearing my prothstetic leg... i was driving fwd and the sweet pant leg went under the wheel and pulled my pants right off. lmao.... damn lucky i was at home. anyway... have a good one. thanks again

Thanks for that information!! Because I have a wheelchair just like that one. It was given to me, and I had to modified the seat for an adult and clean up all the dust it build up on it. But I need to find some replacement light because they are not working on the front and back. If you can show me how to replace the light I would appreciate it.

ahhh so that's one of the more complex things to adjust... honestly id get the DME/Dealer to come put and make the changes for ya. ive played with it a bit, but always end up screwing up one of the steps in the process!

Question for you Do you know if medicaid will cover a replacement chair before the five year min ? Or dose it have to be at least five years and the chair has to be totally worn out? Mine is about four years old and all the bearings and toast and needs some tlc. It's a jazzy 600es And I want something better. But if I have to wait I guess that's what I will do l.😬

Do you think backrest canes can be fitted to an F3 instead of the centre-post type backrest? I know the M1 has sort of a backrest cane frame thing, but would it fit on an F3? Dealer will not do but a friend just cannot use the chair the way it is. Having canes allows us to build a back that works for her.

they're a direct replacement - no mods required! pretty much all permobil tires over the last 15 years are the same size :^)

I have a 2021 Perma mobile. I want to put a back up camera on it. They want over $450 for a plug and play one that uses the same connector as the chair does. But I found a back up camera on eBay that doesn't have any connector for about $90 bucks. Do you think I could make the eBay one work, and what type of plug would I need.

you'd also need to mount the screen for it somewhere.. but it can be powered directly from the batteries. the R-net cables on the chair arent for sale anywhere - BUT you can buy short cable son ebay and cut them in half to get 2 connectors!

You can move the small wheels to the inside of the bracket, it helps alot and it is easy to do

My old f3 came without them and it made moving around in the kitchen a lot easier!

Hello Dan I have problems with low blood pressure right now I am in a C300 originally it came with a react recline actuator it would break around every 2 weeks it would strip out because of my constant use. So they agree to put on a linak recline actually because it was much stronger and beefier unit. That seem to solve the problem it lasts for a little bit over a year before they have to replace it which was awesome. I just received a new F3 and I noticed on the recline it is very slow speed moving up and down do you know of any way to modify that to move a little bit faster up and down? I am also wondering if that actuator is going to hold up hopefully? Any input would greatly be appreciated!

typically slower = more gear reduction - which means it isn't working as hard, and should last a while :^)

Those bolts should have Antisieze on them or dissimual metals may cause a problem down the road

it sure can! depending on the situation.. if you're indoors most of the time its not too bad - but even one forward tip isn't super exciting! lol

sounds like something might be binding up and causing the actuators to go into an over-current state - and that makes the red lights flash

Hi, I have another F3 question I'm hoping you can help with: I have an external switch connected to my controller that enables me to change modes. Is there a way that I can turn the lights on using the same switch or another switch? As of right now, if I plug a switch into the hole next to the existing I can only turn the chair off and on using a switch. Thanks !

in theory, its possible to change the programming so the external switch can control the lights, BUT i've never tried setting that up... regardless you'd need a programmer/USB dongle, or a DME / Rep that knows what they're doing :^)

Hi Dan! I recently received a new F3. I had an EZ lock bracket installed on it. Now, every time I lock into my van, I receive the following message on my chair controller: "PM Gyro Performance Active 9450". Once I release from the lock, and turn my chair off/on, it is fine. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks

so thats a known issue with PG drives (the maker of R-Net) - they stared using another type of gyro.. and those errors can happen with EZ locks, and also in a moving transit bus or train. a power cycle will fix it.. but if it becomes an issue, permobil told me to have people contact their local rep, and they can swap it out for the older style. for now though, its not a "problem" but just kinda how things are :^/ (apparently PG drives isn't too concerned about fixing the issue)

anti-tippers are not interchangeable, no marking to say this is for the left side, is for the right side

they wont bolt up without different front swing-arms BUT that's the main difference between the 2 chairs. they are almost identical - just different motors, shocks and a taller seat lift

Totally need anti-tippers on my f3. It's my backup wheelchair. But I've tipped forward in it before and if I didn't have strength in my calves to push on my foot plate I woulda fell face forward. 😂 Just gotta take it slow in certain areas.
