Hello Mr Woods, a little update on my issue with the C A2 error. I had ordered the front board fortunately for me, I was notified that it was out of stock and would take three to four weeks to receive it. I then went and removed the complete oven, removed the rear panel and checked the back fan. I found it to start running and after about 10 seconds it would stop. so I ordered just the fan and not the sensor. Anyone having this issue with the fan, if the C A2 error is coming on, that means the sensor is actually working and you can save yourself $55 by just installing the old sensor on the new fan. I installed the fan yesterday and it's working like new. Thanks again for taking the time to evaluate this issue and instructors on the simple repair, you've saved me probably a $1000 and a lot of time without the oven. If interested I would like to buy your service manual for this oven if you still have that. Dana Bateman

@@viktorartemenko I did not replace the relay. One of the wires I showed in the video had burned a few inches from the connector where it attaches to the board, and the end of the connector below that wire had a melted plastic housing, but I did not replace it. Samsung knows these wires have an overheating issue, and I believe they have a replacement wiring harness to fix that. I just spliced the burned wire back together and it solved my problem. I only heard about the wiring harness deal after I had made my fix, so the next time it happens, I will be looking to get that harness. Check with Samsung to see if they can sell you the harness. I ordered a new relay, but decided to clean up the contact on the existing one and solder the tiny wire directly to it as a temporary fix at least. Got a very good connection and the problem was solved. I assume that the wire gauge chosen by Samsung was too small to carry the current, which caused it to overheat and fail. I don't think I want to buy a new wiring harness to fix a Samsung mistake, I would sooner put in a heavier wire myself. Samsung should offer the harness free to anyone who has this problem since it looks like a design fault Got the oven back in time for Christmas day cooking!

@Tomrocksu22 жыл бұрын
Marc, if your unit is out of warranty, and if you posses just a little wiring knowledge, fixing those ends is a breeze and more than likely will solve your problem. Samsung has not (and will not) say what the root cause is. Based on how those ends burn, my guess there is simply too many amps being pulled thru them to handle the current. Eventually it will burn the relay that end plugs onto and you will have to repace that small board in front. Thats what happened to me the first time.
@marc-antoinelemay52332 жыл бұрын
@@Tomrocksu2 Hi Tommy, Well, the Certified tech came back for the second time. This time he had the main board and 'a' wire harness. The harness wasn't the right one and he said he had to order it. I told him he could simply use terminals just like you did . He didn't have any but luckily I did. He replaced the main board (which I think wasn't damaged) and plugged everything back. Works great... My wire was completed burnt and I could just pull the old wire out of the connector. I didn't look at the wire size but it does look very small. The really is a DYSF-12V-P1 (Rated to 16A / 250VAC). The old board part number was DE41-00450A (information only if anyone may need it) I would be curious to start the oven and measure how much current goes thru that wire. I bet the wire is undersized. And also see where the wire comes from and to what component it goes to. As you say, if anyone has this issue and the oven is out of warranty, they should the fix themselves if they have any wiring skills.

@@jasonInBTR to be honest, I never saw my "original" harness. When the Techs came a couple of years ago to replace all of the parts the first time, which is also when they discovered the burnt end on the relay like you experienced, they ended up putting two individual plastic connectors on. so when I opened it up after that repair a year or so later Oh, I thought that those wires had always had separate connectors. But after my repair and going back and looking at your pictures, I realized that there was only one connector originally with all of those wires coming into that dual Spade relay. If you know how to get into the top of the oven, look at the board on the left that I show in the video. Find the two wires I show, then look at the connectors to see if they are burnt, then also look further down the line on those wires to see if either have burned thru, or show signs of being extremely hot. This has been the culprit for most, but not all, who have responded. The oven also has 2 fans, one on the top, which you can see, and one midways down on the back of the overn that you will have to take off the back cover to see. Some, but very few on here, have had to change at least one of those blowers and hall sensors.

They refuse since it’s out of warranty. Bought it in 2018. So, I’m going to try to repair it myself, if I can source the right parts. Do you happen to have a list of part names/numbers that should be replaced? Should I just do the board and wiring harness, or also the cooling fans and sensors. Note, I opened the top of my unit and inspected the same wire and relay shown in the video. There is no sign of melting or burnt wires .

Jay, the first thing I would do is replace the front Control Board you saw in my video. Please remember I am not an appliance repair guy, but a consumer who knows a thing or two about electronics, AND I hate being ripped off by big tech companies who design and sell these products, but once problems arise, they want to give you the run around about fixing their "defective" products. I got that from Partsdr.com. here is the link partsdr.com/part/de92-03729p-main-control-board . The part number is PD00043136. Its very easy to replace. The wires/relays having so many problems is what you saw in the video. Those wires are from the microwave door switches and the magnatron for the microwave. I would not replace any blowers. The chances that those are bad is so minimal is not even worth mentioning, based on "MY" personal experience and that of others. If that does not solve the problem, AND you have made sure there are no burnt wires or connectors, I would replace the other main board. Here is the link partsdr.com/part/de92-04045c-main-control-board . the part number is PD00057081. Let me know how things work out for you please.

Thank you Mr. Woods for this very informative video. I have this model and am experiencing the C - A2 error code. The unit is just about three years old and I assume also out of warranty I have removed the oven from the wall only to find completely intact wiring, no burnt issues. The oven will work for about 10 seconds and then cuts off showing the error code, if you turn it off it works again sometimes little longer than 10 seconds but never more than 2 minutes. When running the fan seems fine. I have ordered the front board with the relay with the hopes it may be defective. I also looked at some other repair recommendations and one was the fan sensor. Do you know if there's a way to bypasses this switch and see if that is the issue before buying this sensor? It sounds that we all suffer the same common issues, I should scrap this oven, and if repaired I can only expect another similar failure soon. To be honest my wife and I both love the style and function of this oven up to this point. I also think there is probably limited airflow once this unit is placed back into the cabinet, there is very little space around this oven in my particular layout.
@Tomrocksu22 жыл бұрын
Dana, my guess is the front board might be the issue. One of the common issues is that the relay in my video, for whatever reason, is drawing too many amps. That relay is actually for the right microwave door sensor and you would not think it would have a high draw, but as you can see in my video how melted that connector was. There are two "hall sensors" attached to each blower fan. One fan is located up top as you have seen, and the other is in the back of the unit, between the microwave and the oven. The sensors can be replaced by themselves, but if your blower motors are both running, that would tell me the sensors are fine. You would have to take off the back cover and run the unit to see if the back motor is running. To be honest, we no longer own that unit. Samsuck could not repair it and ended up paying us $1800.00 for our 2 year old unit (LONG Story). We ended up getting an LG with identical features as the Samsuck unit. Let me know if you get it fixed so others on here can see what you did. Thank you!!!

Does anyone know the difference between the various boards? I saw “DE92-03729P” referenced here. There’s also a “T” version, which I assume is even newer.. but again, could just be different features. Anyone have any insight?

Thanks so much for this video! Same error code for our combo oven/microwave. Think it may be out of warranty, so based on other's responses on the internet, seems around a $1000 fix in Canada. Patrick unfortunately you will have to remove the oven and then remove the top. Honestly, I used a plastic rolling tool box that was about an inch shorter than the oven, so once I removed the little side screws that hold the oven in plac, I just worked it out of the hole and sat it right on top of my tool box. I left the wireing harness connected as it was long enough, and just shut the breakere off. Once you get the top off, use my video to locate those wires I mentioned. My guess is the ends are burnt and you will need to cut them off and splice new ends on to the wires.

Thank you, Tommy for sharing this info. I have the exact same issue and confirmed the burnt connector and relay. I was able to buy the relay online but can't find the connector (the white piece in your video). Could you let me know where you got the replacement connector?
@Tomrocksu23 жыл бұрын
I did not have to replace my connector. Although it was burned, the metal ends were still making good contact with the relay, which I also did not replace. I fixed a bad splice on an adjacent wire to the white connector that was made by a Samsung tech, who obviously did not know what he was doing

I dont, I did not replace it. When Samsung sent their tech out the first time I had the issue, they are the ones that spliced on that pigtail with the connector, but the splice they made was not done correctly, so it burned through where they spliced it. I cut the spliced section out and did a proper splice using the same short wire and connector that they used. It looks like a generic large female spade connector that you used to could by at Radioshack. Not sure if you have one of those where you live.

When I first started trying to figure out what was wrong, I ordered some parts from partswarehouse.com/ I ordered 2 blowers and a couple of boards. I then opened it and replaced both blowere motors and that didnt work. I then replaced the main boatd that lays flat on tope and that didnt solve the problem eitther. It was when I went to replace the front board, that I found the wire that had burned into again (Samusng originally did a splice to get it working again. Once I fixed the burnt wire and reconnected, it started working, but I did not replace the front board, I re-used the old one. Hope this helps!!!

Hey Tommy, I have the same exact model and I am having the same error code. I just called samsung and they will send a tech company but no idea how much they will charge. Will attempt to check the wiering as you mentioned to see if that is the issue. We have been having overall electrical issues on the house as of late, could that have anything to do with this? My wife's blowdrier started tripping the breakers even after I unplugged everything. A cusinart griddle stopped heating for some reason, and now this. I wonder if unstable electricity might be the root of all this or if this is all just a coincidence.
@Tomrocksu22 жыл бұрын
Its probably just a coincedence. My guess is, if you will pull the oven out and open up it up the top and take a look at what I showed on the video, you will find that to be your problem. ust a guess though. If you will look at all the posts on this site you will see this is an ongoing issue with this product from Samsuck.

Hello Tommy. We have the same issue as you. This is the second time that it has happened. After Samsung replaced the parts one year later it stopped working. Could you please give us the specific parts you ordered online or bought to fix it. We will try to fix it ourself this time. We have a friend that is an electrician. Thank you so much!
@Tomrocksu2 Жыл бұрын
More than likely you will not need to purchase anything. Instead, after I opened the top up and was going to replace the front board, thats when I found that wire I show in the video had burned in two. I splice it back together, plugged it back into the relay and that solved the problem. Thats typically what everyoe here has found. Let me know if this fixes the problem so everyone here can see that please.

UPDATE 7-20-21 Samsung sent a tech to my house and replaced the entire wiring harness, main PCB board and the board where the relay and wires has been melting. Prior to his arrival I removed my oven and the top and ran the microwave for 5 minutes, I used an instant read Theropen and placed the tip on the wire. The temperature rose to 130 degrees on the red wire that we have all had trouble with melting. When he showed up I imediately told him my findings and that I wanted to check it after his fix. After he replaced all of the above, we again ran the microwave and this time the temp held at 74 degrees, which is basically the temp in my house. Hopefully this will help all of you. I had to press HARD on Samsaung to get this service covered under a good faith warranty but they did not charge me. Here's hoping this new harness and boards has been updated to take care of this fire hazarad for good. If I have trouble in the future I will post here. I hope you all will do the same.

I have a plastic rolling tool box that is almost the exact height as the bottom of the oven. Once you remove the screws that hold the oven in place, I simply worked it out off the cabinet and onto the tool box. I left the electrical power line hooked up, but shut the breaker off. I have the same oven and it is not working. Now, if I reset the breaker, then it will boot up for a minute or two and then stop responding to any interaction. Luckily I bought a 5-year warranty. First Samsung sent out a tech and he said the main board was not working and would have to order the part. A week later I called the repair company for an update and they told me they could not get the part so they were reporting to Samsung it could not be fixed. I am getting a replacement but now the cost has gone up $1000. I opened the oven and did not see any burnt parts but I am going to go back and check that again. Could you tell me where you got the service manual? I see a service port but the technician never used that. I just saw him probe a few areas with his multimeter and that was all. I am going to check the fans as well.

Maria, When the unit first had problems, Samsung sent their "Techs" to replace a bunch of parts and that's when he first found the burned connector. When he replaced the connector and a short piece of wire attached to the connector, he had to make a splice about 4 inches away from the connector, which he did improperly. About a year later, I got the C-A2 error code. I didn't want to spend another $1000.00 so I decided to pull the unit myself and try and fix it. The Samsung repair manual says to first check for wiring problems, which I did, and then they have you replace various parts. The problem with the burned wire was it was sort of hidden from view, and I did not find it until I went to replace a board. There are a number of connectors you have to remove and that's when I discovered the problem. The burned part of the white connector you saw in the video was facing down and could not be seen from above. That connector actually ended up being ok. The one where the Tech made the splice had to be fixed properly. I did that by cutting the two ends of the wire and to get to clean wire, then I slid a piece of shrink tubbing onto one of the wires, twisted the two wires together, soldered them and then slid the shrink tubbing over the soldered part and heat shrunk the tubbing to insulate the splice. If you find you need a connector you can find them at various parts places online. I used partsdoctor.com

@@Tomrocksu2 Hi there Mr Woods, you wouldn't by chance have that URL for the parts you purchased from partsdoctor.com? I have THE same exact issue right now, and the wife was scared as there was smoke coming from the top left side.
@Tomrocksu23 жыл бұрын
@@UberYunSpicyEggroll You need to check those 2 wires I showed you in the video first. They are on the very end of that board in the video. Look along the wire for any burnt sections and cut and splice back together if either is burned. That will most likely be the problem. None of the parts I replaced fixed the problem. Also, I say in the video that I replaced that top connector, but I misspoke. I fixed the improper splice on the top wire that a Samsung Tech made a year ago. To properly splice you have to solder them together, not twist and wrap with electrical tape like he did. The plastic part of the connector below the wire I fixed was melted, but the metal spade terminal and wire was fine, so I just slipped it back on. If you still want all the part numbers let me know, but most likely your problem is with one or both of those wires. Tommy

This particular burnt relay(link to the microwave power source) runs really hot. The red/white line both have 15amp. Samsung should have put a bigger relay on the board, but they only put in a 16amp 😞. The simple solution is don't run your microwave longer than 5 min. You can run 3min let it rest and run 3min again. You can replace it with bigger relay if you are good at soldering. Wire is not the core of this problem.
@Tomrocksu22 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment Le Yu. I am NOT an electronics guy and know very little about the technical side of things, BUT, Ive been around the block a time ot two and know that too many amps being pulled through too small a guage wire, will lead to a melted wire/connector (which is what mine did). Coupled with what you say is an undersized relay and Samsuk would have had a chance to make things right, but chose to ignore what I would deem a fire hazard. Thankfully they offered me $1800.00 to get rid of that piece e of junk and get something MUCH more reliabe. We found basically the same oven on the LG brand and over the last year have had NO problems.
