Thank for those tips always wonder which glue would be best, never thought to use a large paint brush to help remove decades of dust dirt and grime. Used an old sonic toothbrush with car interior cleaner to clean up some grubby camera vinyl wrap worked a treat and kinda smells nicer too. Another tip don't rush if some seems abit too tight check and make sure its not a left handed thread ...Yashica FX-d film winder screw is left handed and also made of brass and was easily sheard off (bad confusing manual translation)....

Hi, thanks for your useful tips, sonic toothbrush, I am still using manual ones LOL Good point about the opposite threads, I did not know that about Yashica cameras,will have to try the car interior cleaner hack also, some old cameras stink...hope you're having a great weekend....

Great video. How do you clean a lens element with fungus using hydrogen peroxide? Do you just soak the lens or do you rub it somehow?

Hi, I tend to use a container and put the lens element in the fluid, not for too long, say 5-10 seconds, then move to another container with deionised water, then dry with a soft cloth, micro fibre sort, I have used cotton buds dipped in hydrogen peroxide if the infection is not as severe, say just at the edge of the lens, the soaking is for really bad cases, fungus can etch the coatings if really bad, expensive re-coating is the only option, I find that short repeated cycles with inspection after the water bath works best...hope this helps...
