When its cloudy like this because of the expoxy or what ever you putt on it :) just get some WD40 or other silicon based spray... spray the coating and rubb it carefully . Do that 2 or 3 times and it will improve the glass again a little.

So a layer of light glass cloth in the resin would hold up better? It would turn clear when wetted out
@slipperymud3 жыл бұрын
yes i would do it that if there was a next time

HOWdy S-M, Thanks for your video I have had good results with Marine Grade " SPAR URETHANE" exterior Grade coating available at MENARD's & LOWE's big box stores Has NOT Clouded on my Harley-Davidson plastic instrument panels in 5 years COOP ...

Didn't work for me. Spar varnish cracked and peeled off after a couple of months in the sun.

This is a waste of time! Maybe if you used the expensive car windscreen repair stuff it would work but any kind of silicone etc is just going to become a dust and dirt magnet. Plus the Sun will make it more Opaque with every month that passes. Unbroken used panels are so much cheaper and they work for years and years.

Its not silicone, its a resin and hardens like glass. But you are correct about going opaque after months in the sun. cheers
