I just wanna say I love this channel. I love restoration channels but I've never seen anyone repair audio gear like this. I can't wait to see more.

Hey thanks for that! My goal was to upload something that hadn't been documented yet. Really glad to see it resonate 🙏🏽

Any idea why mine has no sound in the input but when I put in the output I can hear sound when I plug my phone into it? I changed the rca and the volume pots but same thing.

Nice job. I have an issue where the sound cuts out if i bump the line in / Out phono jacks. Thinking it must be weak solder joints inside the 202 linking the sockets to the board. Have you ever experienced this issue before?

Hey thanks for watching! I’ve definitely seen that before. It is indeed usually weak or cracked solder joint. Very common on the SP303.

What was the copper coloured tape you were using when soldering? And what is it for?
@sumawav2 жыл бұрын
It's called copper wick or sometimes copper braid. It's used for removing solder from a board. By applying heat to the wick and solder, the solder will melt and conveniently get sucked up by the wick. Super useful!
