Repairing a broken fishing rod? - Does it work?

Thanks for the explanation I have been looking at this method yet my proposed tip repair is 6inch from tip .. unfortunately I can’t replace the rod tip as it’s 1 of a set of 3 Bruce Ashby Harrison ballista slim .. Bruce passed away so I don’t have many options .. I am leaning towards a blank tip for the internal repair .. as for the bond I think the failure is the epoxy .. epoxy sets rigid and there is no flex so as soon as u bend the rod blank the epoxy is shattering as it can’t flex aswell as the internal carbon rod the epoxy will stiffen it.. I feel if I use U40 bond with some flex it may work .. I will update after I have repaired

I think the only way is a metal spigot over the rod to fix it like you said , at least you tried buddy .. cheers Chris & Sam
