What protective coating do you use on the metal, please?

On this we used maintenance spray but on many occasions we use ACF-50 👍

Cracking video! So, these Bullit any good? We know they're made of Chinesium, but I've been offered one very cheap, tempted now if you can supply parts!

@@shootingGBS They are OK it depends on how it's been maintained and kept. Some of the models have a few electrical gremlins but other than that just regular maintenance and it should serve you well 👍

How did it get to that state and how did they get it in? Its like they did around the world 900 times on it.

I'm not sure but the customer bought it like this as a project so it was likely the person before him just left it outside.

Can nothing be repaired? A whole new carburettor because of one failed component and a need for a clean? The ignition switch was likely just a dirty/corroded contact, so can it not be opened and cleaned?

In most cases yes but the carburettor was £30. cheaper than the labour cost. As for the ignition barrel it was actually damaged at the bottom and someone cross threaded the bolt to the yoke, I didn't film it but I had to remove the top yoke and re-tap the thread, in many cases I have repaired the barrel but as he had no key for the tank lock (and it was smashed) I used a lock set with 2 keys. Again they were only cheap, with Japanese bikes it's usually cheaper to repair, with these it's cheaper to replace. Hope this helps 👍

Unfortunately there is little point in repairing a lot of chinese bike parts, they are that cheap you just bolt a new one on
