Rub the metal strip over the area you are putting the glue and then exactly how you showed, don't forget to add chalk to stop any glue sticking to the inside of the tyre. We'll done Mark. I have a video that shows you how to do this without tools. I never check out of the tyre, best get it in ASAP so the air pressure keeps the patch on. Definitely inflatable on any allotment or growing spaces. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.

Ahhh...brought back childhood memories. Between my brother and me, seemed we fixed our bike tires couple times a month. Tip: Back in the day, after applying the rubber cement, we would light the glue on fire for about 5 seconds, blow it out and quickly apply the patch. The heat really made that sucker stick on real good...

Hehe, yeah, my childhood memories came back at that moment too! Such fun fixing bike tyres! Thanks for stopping by.

Looks good Mark! I think as long as the glue is tacky you should be able to keep that patch on no issues. And now you have all the tools should you need to do any tube again 😊 Thank care my friend! Andrew

Did you also check to make sure that the thing that caused the puncture was not still stuck into the tire?
