I don't have access to those fancy clamps, and the back is only separated over a 6 inch area. Can I simply grab a couple c or f clamps from my local nationwide hardware conglomerate and give it a go?

I got the same kind of guitar from YAMAHA costing around $200 and the same problem, but mine is a bit more as there is a small rip part in the back body itself😢
