Very good example and well explained. It feels like that i am solving this problem

Hang on a mo, at 11:35 why not a Geometry Check ? Hmm, looks terrible. That particular area is done either intentionally extremely poorly as an example or done by someone who shouldn't be designing...Ok, i just read the discussion about this - a novice designer...modeling to represent welds that explains those shapes. Useful discussion re pro's and cons on Tet / Quad meshing - Thanks. Some very good tips re repairing troublesome geometry. A useful video all around.

One question: if we eliminate this issues around the surfaces, which is what we aim for, we are adding a very small amount of thickness and that is actually a modification of the original component, right? Do we want that? Thanks for the video!!!

All models are approximations of reality. Small deviations will not significantly change the result.

so for CFD meshing, all different parts of geometry somehow need to be connected ??

how do you navigate like that? the body rotation looks so smooth
