Great video, Andy! Your pump is a quality pump that is for sure and that’s why it lasted so long without cleaning. However I agree with the other comments. It’s time for a new pump because all the wear on the impeller would have affected the motor housing.

With the amount of wear on the ceramic sleeve at the end you probably find the housing that sits has the same amount wear good luck

New pump mate im afraid. The old impeller has worn the housing that it sat in, so your new one is rattling slightly. Evolution Aqua variflow would be a good choice almost like for like with the one you have now

That is ceramic washer/bearing ,possibly its worn the other half of it ,that's inside pump housing causing a slight wobble now 🦊

My view is if your pump is old and parts are wearing out it wouldn’t be long before some thing else goes wrong. Just get a new pump it gives you peace of mind.

Hi Andy if the replacement impeller costs £35 and the 8000 pond eco cost £79 won't it be worth the extra on buying a new pump ? And were the chrome bit has worn off it must be rubbing at the rear end, does the rear of the impeller (white piece) move slightly due to the end piece wearing down or checkek were that white bit slots into as that bit might be worn hence the slight vibration

Grate video, but which sit got you parts as iv two that needs doing. I gotten one lasted 18 months, then told me that because I live in a hard water area, warenty . So I got another that one 14 months. So, I got a better one but I could still do them up.

Hi Andy, glad you decided to get into the impeller two brushes that i find are great for cleaning in the small and tight areas are a tooth brush and a small bottle brush, the type of brush used for baby's bottle's. Hopefully this could be of some help for the future 👍. Gwen 🧓
