in the ww2 when there was no gasoline people made cars run on wood. since you have a lot of 1930s cars around from that era, it would be interesting to see you do a project about a car running on wood.

I think you nailed the stance on your Model A Brent and their is nothing wrong running the 2.2L. Nothing goes to waste in your neck of the woods! Drive the tires off that sucker this season and when they are flat in the spring--do it all over again! 😆

I'll bet that the dreams Pablo has are about doing just what he was doing there. Cruising with Dad. You can sure tell he loves it. But seriously, You know you can clean those cone air filters. Jeez!!! That one looks like it came off of an old John Deer. I don't see how that S-10 motor runs. 🙂 Keep the rubber side down.

Now that little truck is a real sweetheart. Perfect stance except for the frame hump mixup. I don't care for air shocks. My El Camino has them and they are a pain even with an onboard compressor. I'd swap ya a 78 El Camino with a really nice factory interior (cracked dash) and a good solid body and frame, for that little 30's ride. 305 with 900 miles on a replacement crate engine, auto trans, posi-track, cruise control, power windows, power brakes and steering, bench seating tan interior on black exterior. 20 years in storage, engine not stuck. Does that interest you???

I like non-traditional engine/drive train in stuff. Used to be everything had a 350 GM put in, now it’s LS truck motors. If it wasn’t for stupid emissions requirements in NY I’d swap my 4.3 in my old Silverado for a newer 4.3 or 3.6 GM. Same power but less weight than an LS truck motor.

We went from practical well built vehicles to Creature Comforts. I myself don't mind a window crank, theres really not that much effort involved. Heck now days you get a check engine light for bad axle bearings. Cam position sensors and crankshaft position sensor. Lord I could go on. Its like vehicle life support.

If I can get this whole health issue I have behind me and come out the end of it able to still do things I'm going to build me one myself. Well at least that's what I'm telling myself anyway.

A day late but about steel wheels, and rubberized undercoating, they will benefit immensely if you bust them down, polish the bead to bare metal with a flapper wheel than spray the undercoating directly on the bead inside and when that dries mount the tire back on it and it won't leak again. Because it's rust causing the problem.

I think a model A that nice deserves a little paint or at least some rust encapsulator to keep the body from gradually going down the drain. It's a peach. The V6 is a nice touch.
