Hi everyone,
Please consider subscribing if you like this type of content and thank you for the support!
In this episode, I sort out the front suspension and front steering ready to fit 2 new front tyres and set the tracking back to factory standard.
Also, I have a cool little hack/trick to save you from draining the oil to fix an oil sump drain plug leak.
As always thanks for watching and for the support.

Clever oil suction, Sir. About the tie rods and prop link ?, would you need to do a realignment of the wheel ?
@Witty924

Hi Peter thanks for the comment and support. So when you credit new tie rods you can get them to fit almost identically to the position you removed them by making a mark and counting the number of turns to remove them. To get things perfect you will need to do you front tracking again. Hope that helps 🤞👍

Nice work as always, and that oil sump trick was ace. You looked a little worried under there, as you were undoing that sump plug thinking the oil would just fall out, but hey it didn’t 👍

That rust! A Greek car would look like that in probably 50 years..

Subscribed but is the vac hurt in the making of this vid?
@Witty924

Thank Bina. No vac hurtling this video. Maybe a small oily residue the front of the tube which you can wash out easily. But know that no oil is actually sucked up into.the vac 👍

thanks for the comment Hugo, lots of penetrating fluid on the tie rods and maybe some heat. hope all goes smoothly for you, it gives the car a great feel after they are done 👍

That shock you fitted the new spring to looked knackered. I recently changed my shocks and when they were compressed, they stayed compressed, instead of slowly returning to max height.

Thanks for the comment Umbrella Man. They will need changing in the next couple of 1000miles for sure. I think most of these cars at 70-80k need all the front suspension renewed but then they they are good for another round I the ring 👍

Great hack on the oil plug. How's the stance of the car after changing just one spring? I've read that it's suggested to change both on one axle at a time. What's your reasoning behind the single change? Nice series.

Thanks Clive, seemed to work well. The spring change isnt an issue, when you have used springs together they generally good to go. It's when you mix new and old that's when you might get a different feel. Thanks for the comment 👍

Your seized components reminded me of my 06 Mini Cooper S. I was replacing the control arm bushings on it when I first bought it and it took me 3 days to remove four bolts from the front sub-frame. There is so much road salt used here in Ontario. I use anti-seize paste on every bolt I remove.

I hear you doug 👍. Our cars in the UK suffer the same fait with road salt and many rainy days. Good combination to upset bolts and screws on cars. I never want to see another tie rod end haha. Thanks for watching and the comment 👍

Thanks mate, Just changed the rear shocks and springs on my TT. Its done 120000 miles and they were in a hell of a state , no resistance at all when pressed down. Got the front shocks and springs ready to change this week, after seeing the condition of the back I expect the front to be the same. With just the back done the car feels so much better already, look forward to seeing what its like with the front done as well. After watching your video my next job will be the drop links and ant roll bar. Thanks for the upload, subscribed.😀

Thanks for the comment and support boastyy. Sounds like you are doing great work there and good luck with the front shocks, I know they can be a little painful separating them from the hub. Lots of penetrating fluid. Let me know how you get on 👍

@@Witty924 Thanks man, just hoping everything goes to plan. Can never tell if its going to turn into a nightmare with seized/broken bolts ha. I bought one of those shock splitter things which opens up the shock to get it off the hub, should help a bit. Wd40 everywhere ha. Thanks again I will let you know how it goes, should make a huge difference to the ride quality so looking forward to it. All the best man.😀
