Repairing the fuel tank on the Farmall F14

When i did my grandfathers old f14 i used 16ga. Steel no galvanized tin and fusion welded it in place no excessive welding just bead rolled the pan and cut to fit and installed it and welded in a set of bungs and a filter for the fuel feed and the drain both at the lowest point not staggered. Later we made new bottoms for his F30 distillate tractor which had two tanks one outside the other but formed into the main kero tank.

Very clever work with basic equipment. This tractor is going to be well preserved and enjoyed. I bet you are looking forward to the first crank up

Hi David, I am glad you liked it. Yes first start will be great. We have a magneto problem at the moment, and I have parts coming from America, but they won’t be here until mid January. Thanks from Geoffrey
