good point about moving equipment. it all has to be figured into your time and price. smart choice for them to have it done now while you are there with all the tools you need to do it right and effective.

Jon, it looks good how you tapered it to drain towards the creek and even made a disapater pad out of the rocks you dug up along the tapered drainage ditch you cut with the dozer! Good job brother, it looks real professional my friend! Land owners should like it! That skid steer sure does a good job finishing it, that machine takes the place of a tractor and boxblade like they used to do the finishing work! Lots more maneuverability too! 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

That plant is doghobble. (Leucothoe fontanesiana) It is in the blueberry family. I've heard it called highland or mountain doghobble. Highly desirable native riparian species where it is there! I wish I had it on my property.

That's a really nice job you've done there, like how you've used the rock you found to help with the spillway. It looks so much better and if you have any seed left, it will look even better. And if you don't have to move your equipment and the land owner wants you to do some extras, then why not. Makes good business sense for you as you don't have to waste time moving equipment around and saves the client money as well. 👍🤗

Brilliant, Jon! The creek area looks better and safer. The owner might consider ordering crushed/locking concrete about halfway down the incline and across the culvert to further strengthen that part of the road and culvert.

Watching trying to work out how you were going to tackle this was interesting - I had no clue of course. Then you got underway and within a 'short' time it looked so good and the water flow was changed by your work. It looks fantastic. It amazed me how this is done.

Nice job. 👍 Are you changing focus with the company so to speak? I mean, doing more dirt moving and les mulching in the future? That Kobelco 210 is quite an upgrade and is suited for more serious/heavy dirt moving jobs, like clearing building pads, digging foundations and so on - maybe even some pond building. 😉😊

Not really? I like the variety. Mulching for days on end can wear on you, it's nice to have other things to break it up.

You should have talked the customer into replacing the 3 pipes with a large single box culvert. The 3 pipes will always be a clogging issue.
