I'd say that you'll probably *re-aquire the Broken Master Sword fairly early* in the game, and it'll be used as more of an 'unbreakable base' for *the Fuse Ability* to graft things onto - _the Sword Hilt_ won't do any damage on its own, but you *can Fuse and Break things attached to it as often as you like* without worrying about losing the Base. Of course, _the Sword's Real Power_ won't show itself until you attach *one of those specially-forged Blades* you suggested...

this is just a thought in the wind since the games already done with development. but id love to see the master sword being introduced early on in your journey. (the broken form of course) through this you can create different edges through finding materials throughout and fusing them with a blade (that may be craftable? since durability would be an issue) because you're given the MS so early on you just bond with it more, it has more of a use compared to BOTW as a 'final' weapon. and to keep that tradition, towards the end you obtain the actual MS blade, completing it. would be a cool way to implement element / ability swords while staying true to lore ig

I think it’s already a very high chance the master sword is going to be a large plot device very early on just based on the trailers! I do like your idea about bonding with the MS more, in BOTW it really never had the same impact compared to other Zelda games! So I also hope it’s different this time around!

Really like your theories. I think the master sword having a Zonai outline on the cover art represents some form of customization of the master sword. Typically any Zelda tittle with the master sword shows it's main or final form. Being blank with the same Zonai energy as Links new abilities to fuse and manipulate, maybe the Master Sword will be able to change to. Also, liked your explanation on how Chuchu jelly will work in Tears of the Kingdom. Some fusions can not add to the appearance of a weapon physically, so they will probably add effects to the weapon rather then change its appearance or size.

I'd like to see us shoot the blades out of the master sword with different effects. Like a wave of fire, bolt of lightning, explosion of ice or something that could change combat approaches we've yet to see.

This is a really cool idea! I could see it happening, especially since the master sword in BOTW shot out an phantom sword beam! I could see them adding more layers to this like you said by adding different elemental effects to the beams!

Yeah, hopefully something along the side of a boat anchor at the end of the hilt which whenever thrown would work similar to a grappling hook. There's all kinds of old gadgets to build upon! Sorry I'm just really excited

this is a pretty cool idea, and personally i wouldn't mind seeing it happen. getting to apply chu-chu jelly with different elements to give the weapon that effect would be pretty cool, its like what you can do in Dark Souls too. these next 5 weeks are going to be some of the longest weeks ever in anticipation for this game

What if the Tears are a magical type of Liquid Metal that the original sword and Fi were created from. The sword was made by Hylia herself at the beginning of the timeline, so it would make sense to also be made out of the Zelda version of Unobtanium

I had a similar idea as soon as I saw the fuse ability. I think that the Master Sword might change its form entirely depending on what you fuse it with. For example, fusing it with a spear would create a sort of "Master Spear". Fusing it with other items might give it a blade made of the green energy, like the one seen in the logo, and then give it the properties of whatever you used. Such a system would have to be balanced in a way where you can't just rely on one weapon, though. So there would probably still have to be some sort of cooldown mechanic in place.

This is a really great idea! It definitely is very similar! Using the fuse mechanic to change the weapon type of the master sword is something I never thought about until now! It follows the idea about making the Master sword your own specialty weapon!

Hey, nice video! I'm genuinely surprised surprised this channel is so small, and I really like the idea you suggested, it gives the Master Sword a consistant useage, it allows it to function in accordance with the weapon-breaking system, and in my opinion the most important part, it would make the Master Sword special to each of us, as it would allow us to make it how we prefer, and a lot of us would prefer different blade designs and properties to others of us. You know what I think? I think the “tears” in TotK are objects that’ll be used to make a new permanent blade for the master sword, an then like you said, utilize the fuse mechanic an “reforge” the master sword Though detachable blades for the master sword’s hilt is a really cool concept

my theory: in an video of link, he holds the master sword and on his magical hand we can see the symbol of the rewind power . my theory is that with the tears, he could add more power to his arm and so his powers will be buffed. so with more tears he would be able to rewind more and more the master sword until it is fully repaired.

Makes sense to me, to be honest I can't really think of another idea that makes any sense. Why would Link go to a dwarf to reforge the sword like in aLttP or something like that when he has fuse powers. With that said, I also think the Master Sword will have some kind of final form that requires beating dungeons or something to unlock.

I hate how people are like “I wanna try the meat arrow” i bet it wont even have effects. I wanna add a farosh fang to an arrow and it might have stronger elemental damage. Idk maybe a leaf arrow will add wind effects which we haven’t seen before, I mean we have a korok leaf so why not.

The meat arrow is just a meme at this point, if it does have some use it will probably be used to lure enemies! I think the Zelda team will surprises us with how in-depth and thought out the crafting mechanics are! We have barely seen the surface! Experimentation will be very fun in this game!

Yeah this is one theory I have seen a lot. I think fit’s really well and is the higher probability! My theory was just kinda a shower thought one day and like I said in the video is really easy to make a rebuttal on! I just enjoy crazy speculation type stuff when it comes to the Zelda community because everyone always comes up with something new or has a wild theory they like to share! It’s so much fun when we can all speculate on a new game!

Yeah this is a very interesting question, I have wondered this myself a lot recently! In twilight princess link couldn’t grab the master sword before he was cleansed of the evil that lurking within him! I mean the sword literally zapped it right out of link! How could the sword not repel the malice! My only conclusion at this point is the master sword is still in a weakened state after the events of BOTW and didn’t have time to fully recover, so it somehow could stop the onslaught of malice!

That's not a new idea / breaking conventions - in A Link to the Past, both a blacksmith and a Great Fairy were able to enhance / improve the Mastersword.

Oh yeah I love to fuse newly forged blades in link to the past to a broken master sword! I remember making a elemental type master sword in that game it was sick! So glad we could make detachable blades in that game and using the fuse ability’s with links arm forge them together!
