Thanks!!! Just finished working on my WPC 89 CPU Board for a Funhouse . Had to add the jumper wires at 5:44 on U19. Row 7 on the matrix is now working. The traces for pin 5 and 7 were open.

Ouch - Bad corrosion there! Nightmare with it being around all those resistors and caps.

GadgetUK164 It can be a real pain, I had one where literally every cap and resistor needed replacing on the bottom half. Should have thrown it in the bin, but I had started, so thought I would finish it.

Would love to see some actual soldering action.

What do you use for desoldering? And what do you use for neutralizing the battery damage? Thanks. Do you ever try to replace the solder traces vs. running jumper wires? It looks like you were checking the columns with the digital probe. Is there any way to check the rows while on the bench?

You can fix any board it seems! Now that it is snug in its conformal coating it wont oxidise any maybe last forever as long as it doesn't get leaked on again?

Knuckles the Echidna It should be fine for many years now. If you get all the corrosion neutralised and removed it should be good to go. People making short cuts just give the board a quick rinse and then fix it without getting rid of the deep corrosion, so it always ends up coming back
