Thank you for not throwing the tool in the mud, washing it and then calling it a restoration. Those who really work can see the difference.

I have a variable speed Dremel tool kit for decades now. I can't even remember where I got it from. But it is one of those tools that when you need one, nothing else will work. Nice fix of the open winding on the field windings. I think that tool will be with you for many many years to come now. Thumbs Up!

I've never seen a dremel in that bad of shape. It looks like they gave it to a kid to play with in the sand box and got left out in the weather for a couple of years! When I fixed my stator I just unlooped enough wire to reach back to the connector instead of lengthening it. That was 20 years ago and still works fine.

Excelent restoring video 😊. That 3000 was a total failure from Dremel. There are many, many videos about how to repair it due to that broken little wire. Anyway, it's an easily repairing issue and the tool can work for many more years, till the wire got separated again 😞.

This is typical point of failure in these units. I fixed my dad's Dremel a few times this way. It has over 20 years and still works. New stator costs like 15$. Someone threw out perfectly good tool...

It’s amazing how one tiny wire breaking makes the whole unit useless. But the question is, why did the wire break? A very good repair and restoration. I’ll send you mine and maybe you can fix that too😂😂😂. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺

You should do a video on how to replace the rechargable battery on the Dremel Stylus (the one that looks like a Star Trek Phasor). They discontinued it years ago. They offer NO replacement battery and it is the most comfortable Dremel ever made. Mine holds a charge for a little while. Nothing else comes close to the comfort and control of that model.

Hello it was a nice restoration 👍😷🇺🇸
@FrutchyFr Жыл бұрын
My wire was broken at exactly the same spot as yours. But I found an easier way to fix it, without soldering: The wire windings in the stator aren't very thight: So I just took off 2 windings and put them back as close as possible to the innerside to free some extra 6 or 7 mm in length. This extra length was enough to reintroduce the original wire in the plastic socket and force the metal connector down over the wire to make connection again.
Beautiful and wonderful thing I wish you creativity always

Take a look at the grip on the front of the tool, mine has a wrench inside so that you don't need the separate wrench. Just unscrew the thread cover and hold it on the chuck.

I was hoping to find your solutions in the comments :) Works again like a charm. What‘s the downside of this solution? Less power?
@aususer4152 жыл бұрын
@@florianliebetrau8670 nope.. you will notice no change.. u fortunately if it broke once it I’ll do it again. I might suggest a dab of epoxy on the wire.. it’s a fatigue break so the more you reduce the wire from flexing the less fatigue it will endure. Congrats!

I bought one of these, exactly the same. It is one of the worst tools I have ever had the misfortune of owning. I repaired it several times (different faults, one was the switch fell to bits) until I finally gave up with it. The only thing I could be sure of was that it would fail when I needed it.

I had the same model Dremel and it had the exact same issue (broken wire in the motor). I fixed it, but it broke again in the same way (different wire). Must be a design fault or maybe it's intentionally designed to fail so people will just toss it out and buy a new one?
