JoJo, it's good to know that I am not the only one who get's "turned around" and "LOST" 14:22. My Dad grew up in Kansas straight South of Salina, so he did teach me how to navigate directions by the sun, which of course comes up in the East and goes down in the West. However as a city boy I grew up in Colorado... where we navigate by the Rocky Mountains in the west which are always in the West unless you're on the western slope..! I solved my dilemma just got a SUBARU with a compass! Now I always know which way to go...

The best venison I ever ate fed on oats and wheat all summer. At the start of hunting season those deer (not the green kind) moved across a major highway into natural prairie that had quite a bit of wild sage brush in it. "You are what you eat." comes into play. That mule deer was slightly seasoned with that sage. A bit of butter in a just starting to smoke hot frying pan with a thin steak with a short 'sear flip sear' cooking time was the best venison I have ever ate. Try it you will probably like it unless you hate sage. BTW widower here and it does get easier as time passes. My wife was declining for about 2 1/2 years before she died. You can never be 'ready' for your spouse dying.

Hi Jordan I love your videos. I just retired at 77 last year we live on the farm with our daughter, son in law 4 granddaughters and one great grandson. Last year I drove a semi during corn harvest but this year because he got a new X9 1000 he got another grain cart because everybody he talked to said one cart could not keep up and they were right. So for about 6 weeks we ran hard sometimes day and night. Glad it’s over. Wish I’d had auto steer. So I really relate with what you go through and love it. Of course we all hunt here and getting ready for deer season in 3 weeks. Yes please record your hunt and share it. I too reload all our amo. Can’t believe how much we have in common you’re so much like my granddaughters. I’m so excited that your channel is blowing the lid off. I’ve been with you since you were hopping for 10,000😅

I really need to take a moment, Jojo, to tell you how danged proud I am of you. As you know, I have been following your videos since the start. You have grown so much as a person, become a damned valuable farmer (whipping that big tractor around towing the massively heavy grain cart like a pro). Honestly, I’ll bet that anyone visiting your channel for the first time would think you had grown up on the farm and driving a tractor since you were old enough to climb the ladder into the cab. Heck, I bet most city women would have run screaming back to the city by now, especially after the devastating tragedy in your life. Not you. You took the bull by the horns, found a wonderful guy, and said, “dang it, I can do this, I refuse to admit defeat.” Yes, you still have exceptionally challenging days, but in the true farmer’s spirit you put your shoulder to the wheel and eyes to the grindstone. Your subscribers will continue to grow in numbers because you are honest, real, admit your mistakes, talk about overcoming failures, show us the farming life, plus you are hilarious to watch and yes, you are very easy on the eyes. Please continue with your winning formula and it is really great getting your husband to bestow up us his vast knowledge of all things farming. It is a tragedy how many people in this country have not one clue where their food comes from, let alone all the work that goes into growing, harvesting, and all the other steps to their table. You are a valuable teacher to all of us. This is your classroom. Thank you for you being you.

Jojo, I'm a new subscriber, so bear with me as I ask probably too many questions. First off, my condolences on losing your husband. You are a beautiful, industrious young woman with an infectious smile that certainly did not deserve to become a widow at such a young age. I'm sure your husband must have cherished you. I think you are a remarkable woman! Ok, with that out of the way, here come the questions, and I hope none are too personal:' 1. The John Deere combine is massive(!), do you ever get to drive it? 2. How many acres do you own? Or do you lease the acreage? 3. Do you also have livestock on the farm? I have so many more questions, but don't want to ask them, yet. Farming has changed so much since I was a youngster growing up in Alabama in the 50s and 60s. I'm now closing quickly on 76 years old (old, not young!). Back then, combines were not even thought about by the dirt farmers (as they were called), picking cotton, beans, peas and pulling corn were all done by hand.

Welding those studs out is the easiest way to remove them, One tip you can try is to weld a flat washer to the stud then weld the outside of the nut to the washer. It gives you a better weld vs welding through the inside of the nut, especially if you are dealing with smaller size studs.

Antelopes hunter too, way cool. I’ve been one of those as well. Took me awhile get behind it. The first antelope ever ate was terrible. Given to me by a couple from LA who had never hunted before. Then I met a cowboy who clued me in on how to do it right. Ate a few over the next few years and liked it. Have hunted Muleys , whiretails and elk as well. Have to say Ellis my favorite eating wise. Also hunted coyotes back when the hides were worth something. That’s all in my rear view mirror now. After all that, I do enjoy watching hunting channels and would surely watch any you put on. Very good video. The repair video was interesting. Removing the broken off lug nuts was interesting. Often times farmers try and second guess things like belts and hoses for items that will break. Lug nuts aren't usually in the list of items that fail but huge machines with large oversize tires there is a lot of weight on each lug nut and each of the wheels. You mentioned cooking and recipes that is very interesting. I have cooked a lot of my own meals since my wife left me. My xwife was an excellent cook. I learned enough about cooking to survive.

Love your content. Its great to see the real stuff that goes on in farming. Although the tractor you are driving looks a lot more technical in the cab that the John Deere 8400 i used to drive when working in the Australian cotton industry 20 odd years ago.

I've worked with a few farmers, they call it "farmerizing" I don't think thats a real word rather than MacGyvering. I appreciate your videos, I love this great state of kansas even with the wind the dust and allergies...😅

I go through all the equipment before spring and fall. I love being out in nature and it doesn't matter if I bag anything or not

My son and I farm 2500 acres in SE Saskatchewan. Our combine is a 2013 8090 New Holland . Overall the combine has been excellent. I bought the combine used in 2017. Since then I’ve had to replace 3 drive rims. The original rims were manufacture wrong .( the mounting surfaces of the rim are not perfectly true an flat surfaced, so they constantly are moving against the combine hub, )Not cool ! The rims start to crack out very badly , so that it is dangerous to drive the machine. These rims cost 4500 CAD, each. The new rims are manufactured much truer and to date are working perfectly. All my friends with Case, John Deere and NH combines have experienced either broken wheel studs or broken rims. I wish we could collectively launch a class action law suit. These companies are all making inferior combines and charging insane prices. It’s sad. Keep on trucking you guys

I remember some ages ago while working for a custom operator, he had a Cockshutt 545 ( same as an Oliver or Minneapolis Moline 545. ) that was breaking both studs and rims every every 3 or 4 weeks. Finally it was revealed that the replacement rims were designed for studs and lug nuts instead of a wheel stud with a head on it. The seating surface of the old studs and the seating surfaces of the chamfers of the stud surfaces in the rim were at different angles which was allowing the studs to bottom out before the rim was tight, and the weight and movement of the combine would crack the rim and break studs. In the end, the solution was to drill out the hub and install new studs permanently in the hub, mount the rim with the matching lug nuts, and torque the rim down.

Improvise is the key word in my vocabulary. Do the best you can with what you've got. Baling wire fixed a lot of stuff back in the day. Whatever it takes to keep on rolling.
