I have a 9NX that I have performed more work than most would consider a good use of time. It is a solid little machine and I have enjoyed learning about diesels, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems. I repainted the whole machine, converted it to electric fans, added lights, rewired the whole machine with simple relays and blade fuses, and a bunch of other little things.....

that’s cool! this machine has been great!! it was abused as a previous rental machine but it has held up well and I haven’t had any other issues with it, the engine purrs and stays cool, everything works great!!

Well done, have you checked or changed the oil in those little track motor hubs? They wiz around and are tiny, but they will eat themselves in no time if you don’t look after them. They are very expensive too.
@MyChannel-d2e3 жыл бұрын
I did the fluid was like brand new in them, very clean and at the correct level. Thanks for the heads up!
@johnnypickler50023 жыл бұрын
How do you check and service them. Also what fluid goes in them? I own a 9nx and need to service the entire thing. Can’t find anything online for help.

@@johnnypickler5002 Hi, checking the oil level in the track hubs is simply and so is changing the oil: most hubs have two or three plugs in the outside face, clean them up and often there is writing near one or all of them, “fill, level and drain”. Turn the hub so the drain is at the bottom. Let the oil settle for 10 minutes. Put a clean tub under to catch the oil and undo the level plug, then undo the drain plug. Look for metal debris in the oil. If you had oil up to the level and no debris then you just need to re fill with gear oil, a 90 grade is best. Use a big syringe or an oil can if you don’t have a pump, warm the oil indoors if you are in the cold. Give it plenty of time to settle and top up as required. Good luck.

Jonny they are very easy on the face of the hub u have a drain and fill level Allen head bolt just drain and refill with 80-90 gear oil

You did a great Job fixing it up, looks like all it needed was some TLC which is the case a lot of the time. Glad to hear it worked out well for you. Were you at fill throttle when digging that tree out? If so I would check to see if your throttle cable is stretched or adjusted properly as it seems it should have more RPM than that which would give you a bit more hydraulic flow and pressure as well. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
@MyChannel-d2e3 жыл бұрын
Thank you biff no I wasn’t at full throttle it was at like 1/4 throttle I usually run at about 1/2 or 3/4 throttle now

Thank you! You should have seen it before I moved in! It was a disaster! The people that lived here before destroyed the house! I completely remodeled the house, cleared a lot of land and trees, I put a new roof on (as I own a roofing/construction company hence The home pros), tore all the ceilings down from the roof leaking, sheetrock and stimple, paint and a lot of other stuff it’s still not done and I’m still having heart issues so I can’t do as much as I want to, but we love the house and land and got a good deal on it cause it needed so much work

@@MyChannel-d2e Damn right. Thats what we are trying to do right now. From virginia, living in Phoenix...want to get the fam out somewhere a little more. real. all i need is some decent land, with maybe a little house or shop to put my crap in while i build something suitable....but being in my 40's i feel like that dream has an expiration date. its alot of damn work.

since you're done with all your repairs now I suppose you will be putting a hitch receiver on top of the blade like a lot of other people, right? 😃 There have been a number of people put hitches on their excavators so that they can carry their tools or supplies around their job site and even pick up boulders and stuff on the job site and put them in their little trailer. Cotton-top 3 has a video installing a hitch receiver on his excavator. There are several other videos on KZbin of people using small trailers with their excavators to carry tools and supplies etc.
