Try reading this book, THE FAITH EXPLAINED by the late priest Father Leo Terese. It will explain Catholic beliefs very well. I only know this because I am a convert myself. I came home spiritually when I became a Catholic because it’s GOD centred, NOT MAN centred. The Rosary, chaplets, prayers and making an honest effort to live a godly life work very well, including confession. That really cleans your soul out.

Diane, that is my thought practically every time I watch a Sensus Fidelium video. It's one of the most exasperating things ever. There's so much wealth of tradition and truth here, and we're simply ignoring it in our parishes.... because... why? It's not like it has to be a heroic thing either, to teach these things, although it's probably becoming more so. The sheer stupidity of carelessly allowing souls to be lost, and absentmindedly and apathetically watching societies crumble, just because we don't preach the simple truth that is at our fingertips, drives me up a wall.

They did not teach this is and almost everything else I've been learning about (from Fr. Ripperer's and others,' videos).in the Catholic Schools that I attended in 60s and 70s. We were, however, force fed movies Inherit the Wind, Future Shock, which featured two men at the alter getting married, as well being taught "values clarification." This has been a vast and profound loss for generations and has undoubtedly led to immeasurable damage. We have to find ways to get the word out. (My videos shared on Facebook get the scantest recognition.)

No such place as purgatory. Only heaven and hell. No need to pay back anything to Jesus. Salvation is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8) from God for all those who choose to accept it. Jesus paid the full price for our sins on the cross. "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead you will be saved." - Romans 10:9, 10. Jesus didn't say he would torture you in purgatory just to make sure you believe in Him. There is no more payment for sin.

Hi everyone, just today when I attended Mass, I saw a man took a host in his hands during communion at a Novus Ordo Mass, and did not have the intention to consume it. I approached him and told him to eat it for fear that he drops it, but he just quickened his pace to avoid me and he sat down at the farthest seat near the doorway, the host still in his hands. I looked over to them to see if he ate the host, but he didn't, and I saw the wife looked angrily at me. After Mass, I approached him again and asked him if he ate the host. He looked at me guiltily and nodded. I then bid them goodbye, but I was really bothered after I left the church. I have the feeling they were planning something bad and they just lied to me. Please kindly include in your prayers reparation for sacriliges like these.

There is an incredible punishment to steal a Sacred Host obviously for the purpose of doing wrong or evil which is not pleasing to God. A condemnation beyond compare. I hope there will not be a next time. It's unfortunate you did not go the Priest celebrating the Mass and told him right away even if you made a little scene by whispering this abominable action in his ears. May this couple go at the foot of the Cross and repent with a contrite heart for this very grave sin.

Making reparation for the wrong things that we've committed is usually not easy at all. And now during the season of Advent, we can still make reparations for anything we've done wrong such as going to the sacrament of reconciliation. Now while it's true that we're only human when we sin but there's one thing that we can't do and that is deny our sins because if we deny them and pretend that we didn't do anything wrong, well we're going to be in serious trouble with God. And at my Catholic Church in Hartford CT, Holy Trinity. The priest himself Fr Charles Jacob says that it's only human to sin but he doesn't think that the sacrament of reconciliation is a big deal. And he's given Holy Communion to parishioners who haven't gone to confession. Now my mom and I have said that his lifestyle as a priest is unorthodox but she and I won't question him at all because it's not our place to judge him. And at times I feel like questioning him myself because my mom won't. And when I ask my mom of why she won't, she has no further comments. As for me, I at times feel conflicted and confused about continue going to Holy Trinity or not and find another Catholic Church that's more conservative and more strict.

fair teaching however I think it must considered within the light of the following verses 1John2:2 and 1 John 1:9. John 3:16 There is a reparation unto our fellow man, both to show our true repentance and to help our offended brother remain in love and not be inspired to strife. But, we are not worthy to pay a reparation for our sins, otherwise we would not need a Savior. However works of repentance are good as they help us to improve and also shows God how sorry we are, but this is not to purchase forgiveness, only Jesus Christ has redeemed us.
