Repent from sin isn't biblical and before you post any scriptures get on your knees and prey for knowledge wisdom discernment and understanding and then read them.

Yes repenting of sin is not found word for word. But what is found is the one who practices sin is not of God and we are called to live a holy life ... not that we will be perfect but in him we shall become perfect... put your faith in Christ... yes we sin and yes we fall short but we do our best in following Christ and his commandments... may God bless you

@@WisdomFindsKnowledge We will do well to follow the law however it isn't a salvation issue . when a person believes on the finished work of Christ they are saved , born again in spirit not the flesh. 1 John 3: 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. How are we born again ? 1 John 5:1,5 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. If you don’t believe on the finished work of Christ because you add works then you are not born again 1 Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. Galatians 3:21Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Should we sin Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.The wages sin pays is death even the apostles died. It is our spirit that will receive new sinless bodies . The flesh will always fall short but we should strive to love and care for each other. As an example James said James :2:4 What doth it profit, my brethren,(flesh) though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?(flesh)15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,(flesh)16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; not withstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body;(flesh) what doth it profit?(flesh)17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 26 For as the body (flesh) without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead(to the flesh) also As for the commandments Jesus said to keep that aren’t burdensome .1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. @@WisdomFindsKnowledge i get what both of you are saying. We are to strive to follow His commandments, but what really saves us is our faith in Him right? If not, then what’s saving us is our “striving to be perfect”. That’s how I’m understanding it so far but I’m also still searching for answers myself.
