Neil L. Andersen - The invitation to repent is rarely a voice of chastisement but rather a loving appeal to turn around and to “re-turn” toward God. www.lds.org/ge...

Today, I have started my journey of repentance. I no longer choose a worldly life of destruction.

I needed this talk today. Repentance is the most wonderful gift to receive as we are imperfect people. I begin anew today striving to be better than I was the day before.

I love how he said that we either pull down the shades on the windows of Heaven, or we repent. Repentance is such an important part of our everyday lives, and Christ makes it possible!

I felt so much joy when I was listening and pondering how grateful I was for my Savior's atoning sacrifice for me, tears of joy, happiness that I chose to repent and return to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 19 year's ago, for I am 7 generation member, who has been allowed to have a Temple Reccomend to do the work for my parents. How sweet is the Lord's Gospel and grace. 😢🙇♀️

I do not fear embarrassment or even church punishment like excommunication (a.k. a. Withdrawal of blessings.) My fear of confessing the major sins I have committed is going through the repentance process, waiting the minimum 1 year, then being re-baptized, then returning to my former sins. Then, I have to confess again, get ex'd again. Waiting years again. Then, being baptized a third time.
