I was introduced to Flora Purim by a mutual friend David Wynne.The setting was a little get together celebrating her birthday after her concert at Rockefeller's in Houston .Held at his after hours salon David's Gallery.One of the few times in my life , actually had a witness, my lovely date Teresa, to one of my life's "brushes with greatness.Flora radiated an energy ,just pure love.She was SO appreciative ,warm & gracious , i held onto to her hand just long enough , not to embarrass her , OR my date.Never forget that perfect evening till my last breath.Thank you David, for your including me in the celebration of this immense figure in modern music.

I was lucky to see them twice! Wonderful! One show he went out into the audience with a tambourine and stopped near us and told a story of basically how important it is to give a kid and instrument. I never forgot those concerts and give or donate instruments whenever I can. Just lovely.
