Launch is TUHMURROW 12pm ET! Despite how much B-Roll I took, I STILL forgot to include a 05 comparison to the saibikoho limited edition cheek brush. The saibikoho brush is softer and silkier. The bristles are also more uniform, probably due to the more conservative taper it possesses. It also doesn't feel as stiff as the 05, and it feels more fluid. @LexiJong has comparison photos on her community board if you want to take a look at the visual differences!

That was exactly what I was going to type was how did it compare to the 05 (I like that brush like you loved the Wayne Goss numba fawr) - if you know, you know!!

Before I started watching your videos on KZbin, I never really understood the importance of having the right brush in order to achieve a great performance. I had some MAC and Bobbi Brown brushes. And, I often used my fingers-which was seriously limiting. Then, I found your channel. (Actually, I credit you and Michele Wang.) You both introduced me to Fude, and I started my Rephr collection. What a difference using the right brush makes! Oh my gosh! Thanks so much! I will be ready to order tomorrow. I’m thinking of getting 2 of the special blush/bronzer brush. Or, I will get 1 blush and 1 mini eye brush set. Great review!

Would you suggest the Maxis if someone has smaller eyes? Depending on the day and my sleep It affects the amount of the hoodedneSS Of my eyes. It may sound funny, but some days My eyes are more than others and I swear some days I feel like they’re not hooded at all but I do have a small face. Do you think the Maxis would be a good idea or I should just stick with the minis? I’d love to know your opinion.

I’ve only started looking into Fude brushes after realizing my favorite brush is from Hakuhodo. It’s a synthetic brush from the 2015 collaboration with Sephora Pro. My skin has become so much more sensitive that most of my drugstore and Sephora Pro brushes are causing irritation. I just bought the Chikuhodo JG series foundation brush and the softness has me in love with the quality, even if it’s synthetic. My eyes are super bougie sensitive with eczema so I’m on the hunt for something I can use for powders and some with liquid/cream. I’ve been eyeing the Sonia G Sky set and the Fusion set but gave me sticker shock 😅 and now I’m saving up to get some during sales season. I may consider trying the Rephrase brand out, though I’ve read mixed reviews. I’d love suggestions from the Fam I can look into. Thank you Alicia for your passion and in depth knowledge share! Watching your videos is part of my morning routine now (make up application is more fun with Friendzzz) ❤
@aliciaarcher Жыл бұрын
Oooooo I have the Chikuhodo JG Series! Working with Beautylish for their Fall Gift Card Event, and that was one of the products I requested. I think Sonia’s eye fusion set is the way to go, but there might be a synthetic version that’s also soft from Chikuhodo and Hakuhodo!
@vra_Tori Жыл бұрын
I just snagged the Saibihoko Brush at launch and am super stoked! Thanks for the recommendations, it’s hard to make choices when you can’t really see the product in hand so these videos and online comments are my research 😅. I don’t really use setting powder since my face is dry enough and it just ends up making me dyed and itchier when I do. However, I love bronzer and finishing powders to melt it all together. 😊 I’ll definitely look into the rest of the JG series and the Fusion set given my eyes are hooded. I can easily get carried away with brushes but a good set of brushes doesn’t have to mean 15 different brushes just 5-6 good ones! Thanks again! 💜

Thank you, Kristeen! I truly appreciate the message 🙏🏽💕 A brush that’s on the denser side, preferably goat hair (saikoho) will be great. If it’s from Rephr, their 04 angled cheek brush, or their domed one that I think was released last Holiday. If from Chikuhodo or another brand, definitely still on the denser side. Hey Alicia. How do you clean your Rephr brushes. I have had a very bad experience with getting my brush hair wet to clean them. So therefore I only use a hakuho-do cleaning cloth to wipe off my brushes. I haven’t seen anyone here on KZbin discussing this. I also have the Rephr soap. But of course it requires getting the hair wet. So I really don’t know how to clean my brushes
@Eff_It Жыл бұрын
I wash mine with soap and water regularly. What happened?
@natashac4995 Жыл бұрын
@@Eff_It They were Smith Cosmetics. I haven’t even tried to wash my Rephr. The hair in them, once they got wet they just ruffled up. If that makes any sense. They are not in the same shape as they were and scratchy. I’ve spent a lot of money on my Rephr brushes for them to be destroyed. I’ve washed my sigma over and over no troubles. But I know they have synthetic hair. Not goat hair. I’ve ordered 2 different brands of soap from Fude Beauty. So maybe I’ll wash one of the brushes and see how it goes. Oh and my Wayne Goss brushes don’t feel the same either

@@aliciaarcher I bought around 10 brushes, give or take, and I returned all of them. They were all eye brushes and they all felt scratchy. It was sad because I was really excited to have them.
