Todd I just ordered 2 of these 32" fixtures..haven't got them yet. Thank you for this tutorial...I'm gonna need it.

Unfortunately you need a J box to install that type of fixture to tuck the wires up in. You created a fire hazard. You can cut a hole and attach a shallow J box to that stud. The fluorescent fixture had its own box for the wires. Puck lights with its own box would have been the best option .

You just gave me the answer I was looking for. I'm replacing a fluorescent light fixture and need to cut a hole to center the new fixture. I knew that just leaving wires loose was not a good idea, but hadn"t been able to figure out the solution. Off to the hardware store to purchase the missing part.

We just installed the round version of this and are very pleased with how well it lights up our living room.

Quick tip, a hammer and an awl work wonders for keeping the dust down when penetrating sheetrock. Those four extra holes in the light are there to keep your light snug to the ceiling and prevent it from flopping around. Four quick perfectly sized holes with an awl and four plastic mollies and you're in business. Looks good and helps keep the electric bill down! I put the same light in my rental property kitchens and hallways.

Hello end Thank u for nice video with nice explanation- Which light we should use ? LED fixtures or portable ? - in small kitchen - and also in master bed room ? And which brand is good for that ?
@Will-km3pk3 жыл бұрын
Your supposed to install a junction box to feed the wires through and attach the light fixture properly on. Why didn't you do that? Why did you screw the bracket into a stud rather than onto a junction box? You do realize your light fixture install is against building code and can cause a fire.

nice lights! Are you making them Alexa ready? Or a sensor so they turn on automatically when you walk in ?

How do u fix them when the light goes dim
@DavidWilliams-di3wc Жыл бұрын
You need a junction box for this type of light. Wires should have come through centre of mounting plate. You have created a fire hazard & future electrocution hazard .

It’s as if this video was about how ‘not to’ install a light fixture! I was also amazed at putting a $150+ fixture in a rarely used closet when $20 fixture would have provided ample light.😬
@Bill_Woo4 жыл бұрын
I missed how you vary dimming after covering the switch. So I went back to your AUTOMATE Smart Light Switches with WYZE MOTION SENSOR | with ALEXA Routines but nope! Didn't see how to dim!
@twHomeShow4 жыл бұрын
Ahh, you must be talking about switching the light-tone-variations from 3000k-4000k-5000k. This has to be done directly from the toggle switch inside the light cover. BUT, these lights are ALSO Dimmable as well. The dimmable feature is available with a dimmable switch. I just don't have dimmable switches installed on our closets. I a closet you should want all the brightness you can get. But if you installed these in a Kitchen, Dining room, or Den . . . you can have them on a dimmer switch and they would be GREAT! Thanks Bill, hope you're doing well :) -Todd

Whats the cost of replacing these led bulbs when they burn out. ?
@samanthab32923 жыл бұрын
Not sure about prices for these exact bulbs but LEDs should last for years before needing replaced, especially a light that isn't left on all day like in this closet.
@thewatchworks13723 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, there is no replacing these LEDs, and less you know how to do SMD soldering work. (and even if you could find replacement LED panels, they would most likely cost more than the fixtures worth and might be of dubious quality) Once those LEDs inevitably prematurely fail from being WAY overdriven you just toss the whole fixture out and replace it with a new one🤷♂️(so long for being environmentally friendly) welcome to our modern disposable world. This is why I prefer fixtures with replaceable bulbs.
