LMC is also a good source or parts... Now that the new exhaust system has had a chance for the oil to burn off, you may consider spray painting it with high temp aluminium . I did, and my exhaust never did develop any rust.

My EX used the biggest people belts he could buy at Wallyworld , Leathery and attached his tank on his 70ish Chevy Cheyenne ( I hated that thing Gas tank didn't work anyways .. we stuck a yard stick in the tank. If it had 2 inches of gas in the tank, we could get to the gas station. It KNEW when payday was.)

The problem was you ordered it from Vauto zone. I haven't been that poor excuse for a parts store in over 30yrs. tech tip- use a little petroleum jelly or dielectric grease on the o-ring for a better seal. and it will keep the seal softer for years.

Yea, autozone really dropped ball. Summit picked it up and took care of it. Good idea with o ring lube

It gets hot and if it stalls or you shut it down it won't run. Little fuel issue, little aged solenoid and battery....my first two thoughts on it

You tighten the rear strap what do you think it should be and you leave the front one loose and you can tighten it through the frame but the back when you cannot so just set it in the middle

Go to rock auto and order the right stuff it’s single-sided rubber tape it’s four dollars per strap and it works amazing don’t be a hack and use roofing paper
