The awful key-cutting chain store in Britain is called Timpsons. They wanted £270 (USD320) to cut and program a Peugeot flip key AND they said that while it would work the immobiliser it wouldn't even be remote control!!

So many comments...This new fob looks great, but moving the original, PSA-made old blade to this new kind of fob was much more difficult than moving the old blade to a fob that looks the same as the original. I have always used the old blade with the fob, never have I needed to replace the blade.

Great video. Any chance you could do one on pairing a new key with your car. My keyfob has the battery contacts broken so need a new electronics board and thus transponder. Would love to see how it’s done before getting all the bits and pieces like diag box etc.

Hi! Yes, you can pair a new key that has new electronics with your car on a Peugeot dealer. You can do this at home using Diagbox but you need a card with a security PIN code for your car, if you do not have that card with PIN I think you can get it from the dealer. Thanks!

Excellent video, do you had any issue with the buttons? (Lock/unlock) or they work fine? Also a small tip, you can change the blade directly, it is hold in place by a small pin, needs quite patience...

Hello. I had no problem with the buttons, it works very well. I couldn't take the blade from the old key because that bolt is placed differently on the new key blade.

Nu te inseli, am si eu vitiligo. La mine este o "mostenire" de familie, a avut bunica mea, are tatal meu, si dupa cum se vede am si eu. Nu ma deranjeaza cu absolut nimic, imi desfasor viata normal :). Am grija sa ma fersec de expunerea excesiva la soare. Sper sa nu te stresezi prea tare pe acest subiect, bucura-te de ceea ce este in jurul tau, vitiligo nu te va impiedica sa ai o vitata absolut normala :)

Hello Adrian, how does the new key blade hold up? I've read somewhere online, that the blade in these keys is made of some chinesium - soft metal prone to wearing out and stopping to work and/or (in worst case) cracking (the blade allegedly cracked inside keyhole). How much did you pay for blade copy service? They asked 40€ at my place, and refused to engrave into "ebay/china sourced" key fobs. They offered whole new blade for mentioned price.

Salut Adrian , dacă ma poti ajuta cu blocarea mașinii. Când plec de pe loc după câțiva metrii ar trebui sa se blocheze ușile automat dar acum nu o mai face. Ce poate fi din experieta ta cu peugeoturile? Mersi!

Salut. In masina ai un buton pentru blocarea si deblocarea usilor, tine apasat acel buton timp de cateva secunde si functia de blocare automata a usilor se va activa sau dezactiva. Sa-mi spui daca rezolvi :)

This looks really good and easy. I have a Berlingo which has the same parts as the C4. So the key should work also. 4 Dollar for cutting the key is almost more expensive than the case itself. 😂😂 You cut the key yourself at the dealer. Is there a reason not to have it cut via internet? Any opinions on that?

Hi! It's not expensive $4 to cut the key, at the key workshop in my city I paid $12. I wanted to film how to cut a key and for that I paid :))

Hi Adrian, i replaced the key case, but i found that the buttons doesn't fit like on the original key case. Do you have a problem when press the buttons, it doesn't work very well when i press in the middle of the button, so i need to press more to the edges?

The buttons are made of plastic, I think they will be durable over time, the whole case is very solid.

Salut! Daca ai cumparat carcasa cu partea electronica (telecomanda) va trebui ca aceasta noua cheie sa fie codata cu cifrul (codul) de siguranta al masinii. Aceasta operatiune se face doar cu unelte speciale si de obicei e recoamdat sa fie facuta in reprezentanta. Mai sunt si "baieti" pe la magazinele de chei care fac copierea cheilor (inclusiv partea de codare) dar se poate intampla ca uneori sa ramana erori in urma operatiunii sau chiar sa nu mai porneasca masina.

Hi, Yes it is true. But you need the security card with a PIN for your car. You should have this card or ask for it at your Peugeot dealer. I noted on the to-do list such a tutorial.

@@AdrianDragan Yeah but that card is costly to obtain. I didn't get mine when I bought the car used. 😶 I heard that there are even websites where you just input/supply your VIN code & you get in return the 4 pin digit code for free. 😇
